Radar Filters - Hone - 06-03-2011

Would it be possible to make one of the radar filters - ships/bases/important - "Player Only" so it only shows players in range, no npcs? Would be useful for when your trying to concentrate on seeing what players are there, and NPCs keep blocking up your sensors.

I've read about the radar filters a few months ago. I think it's in the .exe of Freelancer which means that you have to decompile it to change anything there. And that's just a biiit illegal:D

Maybe Cannon can tell more about this, he worked on a list to identify some codes in the executable with someone else, I think ... (^_^)

Don't even need to make new filters. Just don't mark hostile stations/tradelanes as important.

Making a new radar button just for players isn't something any mod has managed to do yet. Doubtful Discovery will be anywhere near it.

There are some buttons on the left menu where you can filter almost everything from stations to npcs only or "important" only which counts as players so far

I think Ashes meant that it would be easier to make sure that hostile NPCs and stations don't show as "Important" than making another button for the sole filtering of players.
