To The Corsairs, Brotherhood, Black Sails - Dane Summers - 06-10-2011 ![]() I never learned spanish, so i wont make this communication worse with my slaughtered amateur attempts. My name is Dane Summers - im the interim administrator of Freeport 1. I understand there was some problems with Dakun - in the wake of an incident involving Black Sails politely asking for cargo from a Zoner barge - cargo that could benefit the needy on the faraway planet of Crete. the situation went poorly, and in the wake of it, Dakun exercised his powers rather bluntly, and now were at the impasse that we are. So, here is my proposal. I don't want the Black Sails coming around Omega 3 looking to take it out on Freeport 1 citizens, or myself. What ever you choose to do in Omega 3 to others isn't my concern - except in a couple ways. first off, the NFZ is due to change. While within 2k of the station, i don't mind that you tax and gather cargo. But weapons fire could damage the station, leading to innocent lives lost. THAT'S what i don't want. I don't want holes in the dome - i don't want decompression's - and i don't want crying mothers. If we can agree to that - your welcome on the station - and to sweeten the pot, since we are, after all, looking out for civilians, i have a transport or two that can send food and medical supplies to Crete every now and then - provided the vessels aren't damaged, and the crews aren't killed or robbed, it will be volunteer, and i'll be paying them. As well, if you think lawful parties might take an interest in shipping heading out to Crete, dont worry - no one cares if a 1000 cargo units of food goes to Freeport 5, and maybe another thousand cargo units goes a little father. Mislabeled orders and such. As well, any issues with Dakun, do not take it out on this stations inhabitants - they didn't elect him into office, they didn't agree to be his subjects. He bought his way in, and guess what, it didn't work out so well. Let me know what you think. Dane out. ![]() To The Corsairs, Brotherhood, Black Sails - Not Espi - 06-11-2011 :: incoming transmission ::
:: source - Omega 5 :: I'll be brief, to save your and my time. First of all - my men know their stuff. If they wanted to hit the station, they would. But there is no point in that, so don't panic just yet. Second - it seems I have to emphasize this: Unless there is a barrier that is physically restricting guns from firing, they will be used WITHIN your 'No Firing Zone'. *chuckle* If it's not locked up in the docking bay, the cargo is up for grabs by my men. Those are the rules of our game. Everyone not on special terms with my people will be requested to share their belongings - cargo, or monetary means. I guess, that covers it, si? In case of questions - ask. ~ Espi ~ :: transmission over :: To The Corsairs, Brotherhood, Black Sails - Dane Summers - 06-11-2011 ![]() Well, It's half of what I want. That will work, I guess. Just to clear a couple things up - for one, the NFZ really doesn't apply to anyone but people who are helping the station get back on its feet. For instance, contractors helping with the rebuilding efforts and such. Our regular shipments of life sustaining goods, things like that. Most people passing by our little station can handle themselves, or hire people to do it. Bretonia knows stopping piracy isn't our job, and so I'm happy not having to go up with a loaded gun to stop you. As I said, I don't much care what you do. Since the NFZ is kinda close to the station, if you do manage to torch some uncooperative transport, the flaming wreckage is gonna rain down on my station and kill folks. I'm not going to insult you by implying that you don't care if innocents die. That's the nature for my proposal - instead of worrying about taxing \ pirating any freighters over my station, that we instead send stuff to Crete or wherever - this solves both our problems. You get you want, and I get what i want. It's win win. By the way - since you offered me the ability to ask questions... Do the Black Sails have the authority to make this deal for everyone in the Corsair Empire? Do they have the authority to refuse such a deal, that could be a great benefit? Just questions. let me know Dane out. ![]() To The Corsairs, Brotherhood, Black Sails - Not Espi - 06-11-2011 :: incoming transmission ::
:: source - Omega 5 :: The transmission was sent from my private neural net account, therefore is my PERSONAL stance or the stance of the Black Sails, NOT of the Empire itself. As for the - business - part of the proposal. I am open to negotiations of us not 'bombarding the freeport with flaming debris', as you put it, in exchange for - let's see... What do you have, that we need? Make an offering. ~ Espi ~ :: transmission over :: To The Corsairs, Brotherhood, Black Sails - Primitive - 06-11-2011 ![]() To add to what Senor Espi said, we want an official apology from Dakun.
~Mateo "Bandito" Bergasa of The Black Sails
-Here- If HE and ONLY HE doesn't apologize to mighty sails, I and handful of our most brutal men will continue our barbaric crusade on Omega 3. To The Corsairs, Brotherhood, Black Sails - Primitive - 06-11-2011 ![]() Now Zoner, this is only the beginning. Before you say anything out of your pretty boyish mouth without hair on it, next time I hear you are publicly transmitting conversations between you and Corsair nation on your Freeport, I will come to that station and start killing people one by one. Quote:[11.06.2011 18:17:29] SFS-Josh.Wheaton: Uhm, Senor Sails, don't you check your mail? Now I do not care which idiot will you send to get us food, and I don't care which idiot will have to go get Dakun to transmit that apology, but if you don't do it, barbaric crusade continues ! Have a very bad day ! Yarrrr ~Mateo "Bandito" Bergasa of The Black Sails To The Corsairs, Brotherhood, Black Sails - Dane Summers - 06-11-2011 ![]() Misunderstandings like these are exactly the stock that Omega 3 seems to trade in. These communications were not beemed to anyone off this station, and I made sure the encryption was good - Dakun paid a lot of money for an expensive military-grade communication suite, and if I wanted to beem secret messages to Nomads a thousand light years away, I could. Take my word on it, I don't make a habit of spreading my dealings all over the neural net. As for that ship you had a conversation with about Food Shipments - as I said before, any shipments we send to Crete would be extraordinarily dangerous for the crews involved, and are thus, volunteer only. I'm not a naive child, and I know who I'm dealing with. I've discussed this whole bargain with several Freeport 1 management and ship crews, who are acting as my advisory council, before I ever opened up a neural net link to you. Said people have been kept apprised of our continuing talks. Now on to Dakun. He fled the station in the wake of the events several days ago. I've had militia security go up one side of this station and down the other, checking everything from cargo container's to laundry bins. He's gone. He wont apologize to you. In the brief time I knew him, he saw only himself worthy of respect, and had none to give it out. No doubt he believe's he did nothing wrong. *shrug* regardless, he's not my problem. If your thinking I'll apologize in his place, I wont. No doubt, if I did, you'd see me as a spineless coward. I'm not. I'm also not going to go crawling all over backend space looking for every single one of his boltholes. I've got a station to run. A 20 million credit bounty for his return is the best I can do, and even then, that's money that should be going toward rebuilding efforts. If you did happen to bring him back, that 20 million is yours. What I will do is apologize for this misunderstanding of exactly who it is knows about this deal. Me, obviously, since it was my idea. The others are Freeport citizens, my advisory council, who right now see this Freeport as us against Sirius. No Bretonian or Rheinland leanings among them. We only care about our own, and the safety of our own. As for what we can offer - Food Supplies. Medical Pharmaceuticals. at least a thousand cargo pallets of each every month or so. In return, I ask that if you have to frag an uncooperative trade vessel, that is, of course, not supplying my Freeport, that its outside of the 2k sphere of the NFZ - maybe in the trade lanes, or further up toward Aland. If we can work this minor deal out, I would be most appreciative. It's a small thing for you, and requires a great deal of work on my end, as well as my trusting your word on it. Hopefully this clears some things up. Dane out. ![]() To The Corsairs, Brotherhood, Black Sails - DarthBindo - 06-12-2011 ![]() Mr. Summers, i once spoke for the Brotherhood, although i speak for them no longer. For a true accord with a Imperii, you will need to speak also with the Council as a whole. Outside of those halls, Corsairs speak for themselves and those that follow them, and no others. As for the situation at hand, I do have a somewhat better understanding of your motives than my fellows. See, Locatelli is a very good friend of mine. I knew him growing up and there are ....other things we share. To begin, your offer, especially the NFZ, is much ...looser than anything i have ever seen before. However, i must agree with Espi. Ever since the Omicroner incident, no Corsair has recognized any sort of No fire zone, and I, for one, do not intend on such. To be blunt, you have nothing to threaten us with in case of a violation that would not immediately reign holy wrath and the might of our Empire upon you and yours. The men and women of the Nine learned this, when they decided to attempt to enforce their vaunted neutrality against a Imperii. The right to pirate wherever we please is something we ...well.... take, by force if needed, and only by giving sufficiently in turn will any Corsair respect your NFZ. A thousand crates of food is not sufficient. Oh, and signore Summers. No one who is not a Corsair is innocent. Eight hundred years of my people's suffering and starvation on this god-forsaken rock while they cavort on their green and fertile planets lay at the feet of every man, woman and child of the Inner Houses. I want his apology or his corpse, I don't care how you do it. Its totally your problem, si ? Until that happens, cargo going trough omega3 is ours. Quote:As for what we can offer - Food Supplies. Now listen to me gringo, this is what I offer if you want your pretty little ships safe. You will tag transports from your base with [FP1] and you will bring us supplies with those transports. NFZ doesn't exist in our eyes, the idiots around your base can dock or be pirated, or even more enjoyable, they can get shot if they don't dock. When your ships are supplying us they will be left alone, when they aren't they will pay a tribute to Corsair Empire. ~Mateo "Bandito" Bergasa of The Black Sails To The Corsairs, Brotherhood, Black Sails - Not Espi - 06-12-2011 :: transmission is forwarded to the benitez familia ::
