Well, title says for itself. I'm starting this poll just to get a general opinion about the usage of numerical superiority.

Voted middle for all, In my opinion wether to gank or not is up to the players, if we could win with even odds id probly ask the guys I was with to not pile on loads more ships, and if someone on my side asked me not to interfere, - he wanted a duel or something - I probably wouldnt, but if a gank is what it takes, ill use it.
On the other hand it can be kinda annoying when a small faction (npc wise) gets a load of players and for instance dominates a house, one way to fix that would be by buffing npcs, but then that might make it horribly hard when the small faction ISNT ganking, so I dunno.
Basically I have nothing for or against it as a tactic, just like shield running, bot farming, and base camping.

For one, I think that 6 people could go up against a squad of 3 people and it still be a fair fight depending on who those 6 were and who those three were.
Its not all about numerical superiority. You have to put the factors of skill and ship class in the balance too. You would probably call 3 solie cruiser shooting 3 light fighters a gank, but what about those three light fighters against three bombers? and what about those bombers against the three cruisers?
The issue is indeed complex.
There are even situations were a unfair fight is necessary for a fair chance at living.
On the whole, I am against ganking, but parts of me realize it is always going to happen sooner or later as well as the fact that sometimes there is a time and a place for it.
I think this provides a chance for an interesting look at player interaction rather then a simple Ganking is bad! or Ganking is fair! attitude.
Things are always more then they seem.

At least make the fight mostly fair. There's a difference between fighting 2 VHF and 1 GB with 3 VHF, a bomber and a GB than with 3 bombers and a two cruisers.

My take: aint against the rules, but still a dick move imo. I suck at most PVP, but I ask for a fair,fight (for those with me in Omega 5, had,one of my idiot/panic moments).

I try to be honourable, depends on situation if I want to jump in a fight.
If I'm in a situation where the numbers are against me by a large margin, I'm A: silly for even getting into that fight unless there is a good reason to fight and B: I'd be slamming the cruise engines.
I see lots of flames and a quick lock, but meh. We've had many polls like this.

I'm for fair numbers. Skills are another subject.
Unless the opposition have already intentionally "ganked" before, I try to avoid being on outnumbering side. If that means I'll have to stand down, I will, unless ordered by inRP superior.
