I use Avast! which appeared to be quite good for a free antivirus. Though, it's a bit paranoid lately, but I won't exchange it to something less stable or more expensive.

I use the AVG Free Edition 2011 , no problems at all, windows firewall. and modem firewall active. nothing more

Combo of AVG free (active) and Malware Bytes (on command) works for me.

Avira is Freelancer's best friend, and is quite capable for a free program.

Comodo is pretty good, I haven't had any problems with it.

Also, for getting rid of malware and associated stuff, Malwarebytes is awesome.

If you don't have it, get it. Extremely useful.

NOD 32, it gives you pretty good protection and it costs just around 2.50 euro per month

I've never had a problem with ESET smart security 4
That is why I warmly recommend it.
Great antivirus!
