ALL WANNABE FACTION - Patriot - 02-15-2008
Due to the increase in rather thoughtless and totally unnecessary faction threads recently, anything being
considered now, will have to be run past all the administrative team before it gets any form of green light.
Those considering faction creation will have to do your homework a little more seriously in future please.
A PM to myself or AC_Merc, complete with a word document containing your faction status report and all
diplomatic relationships with the existing factions here, and it will be considered.

That's only for official factions, you can be unofficial for as long as you like...
Just look at:
BSG
LPI
CYLON
AR
FH
Lane Security
BHL
USS
etc
The list goes on and on. Telling these people to leave because they don't want to be official is just wrong in my opinion, not everybody wants to be. And more to the point, not everybody can be and some people just want to mess around with friends under the same tag.

LPI faction - They've been doing just fine! Leave em alone!
[Lane-security] faction - Same for LPI, they're doing fine with their RP from what I've seen.

while - in essense you may have a point, - miniscule but still - does it really bother you that much to do a witchhunt? - unofficial factions have been around most of the times. its just a natural habit of players to form up communities - such a behaviour is even suggested ( trade convoys - and the famous "if you have a warship, never fly without escorts" )
so, i really don t understand why you re making such a fuss about it.

The Hunters now training 2 more player on our practice server. If they ready (4-5day) we have a required 5 players to registrating official faction.. But we need choose leader, i'm workin on the story, and put these guys in to the RP line.. But i can't do more, I'm not a leader.. But please gimme few days! and i'll do my best..

As I remember, when Hood and AC were pursuing and enforcing the faction ban, it was to stem the flow of a ridiculous number of horrible faction proposals, that had no merit whatsoever, the purpose is to enact roleplay, not to limit the number of factions.
