Loyal citizens, brave soldiers and tireless workers of Rheinland!

Today, I speak to you from our seat of government: The Bundestag of Rheinland. At an age where the only other democracy in Sirius is lead by a group of bloodthirsty tyrants, Rheinland stands alone in its place as the only republic of Sirius committed to the people it leads. While at least one other house holds true to the basic ideals of it people, both Bretonia and Liberty are in their dark ages. Repression runs rampant, corporate lackeys control their populous. Make no mistake of it brave people of Rheinland, these forces of evil work with one another. Rheinland has grevences against both, but Bretonia is a spectacular case of treachery, both against their allies, Rheinland, and their own lower classes.

Bretonia permitted the use of military equipment on Liberty Navy vessels several months ago. After being attacked with said weapons, Rheinland decided to cut the transport of military vehicles to Bretonia, and rightfully so after they had carelessly donated equipment unconcerned about the loss of Rheinland lives. Bretonia failed to stop the exchange of weapons, and even after officially stopping, did not pressure Liberty into not using said weapons.

But Rheinland was kind,

All Rheinland demanded from Bretonia that the embargo on weapons transported into Bretonia by Bretonian corporations stay. Bowex tried to break the embargo multiple times. The filthy corporate dogs cared for nothing but money, and resorted to what as best can be described as unlawful and at worst war profiteering on the lives of their customers.

Finally, a Rheinland freelancer who had been hired to maintain border duty caught the latest one inside the very heart of New Berlin. Bowex claimed the trader was destroyed in Omega 3, even though the evidence showed he was in New Berlin when the Freelancer made his demands. There is not even any evidence the Freelancer destroyed him, which is what Bowex claimed. Bowex uses this as an excuse that he was no longer in Rheinland territory, despite being in New Berlin, and despite having broken the law up to that point regardless.

But Rheinland was kind.

After seeing evidence against the Bowex officer, all Rheinland saw fit to do was ask them for a paltry fine of roughly 30 million. In response to this, Bowex leadership openly 'threatened' the RFP representative in communications. Bowex leadership also openly accused Rheinland, through the RFP, of "aiding the Kusari in the war in the Taus" by keeping the embargo, even while Rheinland transports deliver Arms and supplies to the Bretonians every day. Bowex then tried to warp the situation, taking 'full diplomatic control into their hands' by demanding either "transport of military vehicles in Rheinland with a 10 million credit per month payment" or "Stop exporting vehicles to Kusari." Bowex tried their best to force the Fatherland to bend to their will, to crush our Rheinland pride!

But Rheinland was kind.

Rheinland merely insisted, after this affront to our very nature as a neutral nation, that they pay a small fine for illegal action in the Fatherland. After this graciousness on Rheinland's part, Bowex stated that they would not only stop talking to Rheinland entirely, but they would also tell the Bretonian government about this. Surely Bretonia would help their corporation see reason, to pay a small pittance of a fine equal to that which their corporation earns in a minute of operation?

No, Sir Jack Fraser of the Bretonian aristocracy jumped in, taking Bowex's side, turning what was an incident between subordinate parties into a state issue. The Bretonian Duke then accused Rheinland of being "reckless and diplomatically inept," insulting Rheinland. Not only that, but Fraser proceeded to 'withdraw their ambassador from Rheinland'. Which, by its very nature, 'precludes diplomacy' and is blatantly antagonistic. The aristocrat also embargoed all Rheinland traffic into the Omega-3 Jump Gate, isolating the hard working people of Rugen station from their supplies and Fatherland. They then invited Liberty Navy ships into the fatherland's very belly, placing them in Omega-3.

What is their demand you ask? Their demand is that we restore shipping rights to Bowex for military grade munitions. They have started a war with the Fatherland to force us to give them tanks and assault rifles?

Rheinland is done being kind.

The Bretonian government is rotten to the core. Even while their own admirals plea for peace, they ignore the sound advice of their people, and plunge headlong into conflict with Rheinland. The aristocracy is exposed as to what it truly is, a barbaric system of tyrants leading the unwilling, into a conflict with a glorious, just, and elected republic. This will not do.

We must secure our own safety from these raving madmen, help the people of Bretonia to form a more democratic and just government, and push the Libertonians invited to strike at the Fatherland's heart back to whence they came.

People of Bretonia, I beseech you, rise up against these mad men running your beloved country, strike them down. Rheinland will help you. Enough of the corporations polluting your planets, enough of the aristocracy's warmongering. Rise up and create a new Bretonia! A Bretonia by the people, for the people, and controlled by the will of the people.

People of Rheinland, we must rise up to meet this threat! Our gravest hour is at hand, our finest hour. Rheinland has weathered many storms; this will be no different. Yet another enemy strikes at our beloved fatherland, yet another enemy shall fall. The people of Rheinland are not Bretonia's to command.

People of Rheinland! Look at your government as it exposes its true face!

Once again the powerhungry National Party menace twists the strings behind our beloved Vaterland and sends your sons and daughters to war for a downright pointless cause: the Kanzler's imperialism. Anti-Bretonian sentiment is now being stirred up as the Military prepares to once again attempt a hostile takeover of the Omega systems, a home to many independents and people who value their freedom and help our nation - when they are not shot on sight for being in the way of the Kanzler's war machine.

The Military yet again resorts to targetting civilians, this time expanding their target range to Bretonian shipping, as they make up excuse after excuse to be able to push Bretonia out of Omega-3 and seize it for their own corporate greed fuelled ends.

And what of our lifestyles? Embargoes are made in the name of inciting conflict, even as millions lose their jobs due to the war driven economy! The Military is so overstretched, even common pirates continually triumph against its forces within our very borders. Sirius bears witness to the last throes of the so called "Republic" of Rheinland. History once again repeats itself; Rheinhardt will go down in history as but an imitator of Empress Leicht, and one just as unsuccessful.

But there is still hope for a new and better future! As the Military opens new fronts despite being at war with a superior enemy, the collapse of their flanks is inevitable. It is only a matter of time until a Liberty push overwhelms the weakened Hamburg defences. There is only one way to preserve the Vaterland from an inevitable Libertonian takeover once the Military collapses: the Volk must take power!

We must form a new government, one that will repair the mistakes of the present one. One that will secure a better future for Rheinland, a future without imperialism or warmongering, but a future of social prosperity. Time to end our wars and focus on our own nation!

Join the fight against the government, for a better future. Join the fight for your freedom. Stand up and fight for the right cause.

Ah, yes. Someone must fill in the role of the obvious insider, else the drama is not complete.

Of course Rheinland's fall is 'inevitable' if our own Rheinlander sons and daughters, but mainly sons, take up arms for a foreign cause, the cause of Imperialist Bretonia. There's no finer notion of hypocrisy than labeling your own government something it's not, only to lick the boots of a government that's exactly the establishment you claim to fight, but of foreign origin as well.

Our job, lifestyles and minerals will be very well secure, once we take them from the foreigners, not bend over to their fake pacifist propaganda which they only used to gain a failed advantage in combat. Do you want to enjoy the position of a privileged citizen on a classy Gaian tourist resort or do you want to live in slavery brought forth by people who already continue murdering your friends and loved ones?

The people of Rheinland is tired of foreigners occupying positions that belong to us! We are tired of their shortsighted opportunist allies spouting self-centered greedy propaganda!

To those who would "speak out" against this glorious nation's endeavor to win back its territory, I have but one thing to say:

Too long have we sat oppressed under the tyranny of rogue forces who strike cowardly from the shadows. Their ideals, thrust upon soldier and citizen alike. Their way of life propagated and instilled in you that you may turn your hand to strike the cheek of the only ones who seek your salvation as a nation.

Soldiers, men and women who lay their lives down in honor of an ideal and not just in the name of Rheinland or the Kanzler, but each citizen as well. The blood shed by these valiant people in recent and distant conflict shall not be sullied by any, certainly not groups who would seek to break the semblance of unity we have regained after an all too familiar epidemic that threatened the very foundations of life within our home.

To those who must put a face to a phantom enemy, you choose your own guardians. A shame it is that you live and breath as we fight and die for you, yet the people cannot see the true form of their assailants. If I, if my brothers in arms must be your enemy, then I personally do so willingly to ensure your freedom.

To those whose goal it is to create chaos and dissension, seek not to bar our way for we shall win through no matter the cost.

We have seen our home worlds ravaged by the onslaught of the cold unfeeling Nomads and our loved ones killed in the blasts and attacks throughout or nation by so called "freedom fighters" such as the Hessians. With all we have endured and persevered through within our own borders, shall we really allow ourselves to succumb to interlopers outside? Will our mettle and resolve as the great House of Sirius fail us now because of something as small as a lack of unity?

I speak without authorization from my superiors, but it is my hope that I speak to the hearts of the people of Rheinland. My message is clear: Either you shall stand with us as allies and partners in great hope for our future, or you shall join the refuse pile and ash that will remain of those standing in our way.

The choice is yours and conflict rapidly approaches our doorstep. The time to ensure the future of Rheinland is now.
