Gentlemen and women,

It was with much sadness that we had to observe the Freeport become a target twice in a relatively short time. First, Corsairs. Now Rheinland. Omega 3 is rapidly becoming an inhospitable place for a Zoner community... I had half expected most of your populace to leave when Bretonia basically annexed the system. It does not strike me as the Zoner way to remain under the rule of any house. But that is not why I'm contacting you.

Given the largely civilian nature of the freeport, and the fact that those who are not civilian seem to feel the need to use a civilian target for target practise, I'd like to offer to have Shipyard Aland harbor your civilian population in the event of such an emergency. Shortrange shuttles could be used to evacuate the population - the shipyard is big enough to house the entire freeport's populace, 'though I can't guarantee it will be as comfortable. It is an industrial facility after all. It is unlikely that Aland itself will be targeted under the guise of harboring enemy craft as the base is not open to all traffic.

I can understand if it'll take you some time to get back to us, no doubt you have your hands full. If the Freeport's hull is still in need of shoring up, we can send over a few CRCs (construction and repair craft). We normally use them for ship construction but they're versatile little craft.

Regards,
