I noticed that when there are a lot of players on NPC encounters are almost non existent save for missions, is server compensating for high activity by removing NPC patrols?

For some reason there are spots where NPCs still spawn like mosqitos. I noticed it mainly near IMG bases: It does not matter how full the server is, there are always a ****load of Hawks and Falcons around Freistadt and Java for example.

I remember a time when the server stopped doing that because it could handle it, but apparently it started again. Either due to high resource requirements or bitchy players.

No no no, gunboats without fighter escort - easy for bombers

Besides , I noticed, that if you don't need NPCs at all, there are at least 7 million^9 ; if you want to pew pew some flotillas in your new Falcata, nothing...

The server used to spawn less NPCs the higher the player count got. Then the server was moved to a new machine and because the new machine was more powerful than the old machine that feature was removed. NPCs spawned at the same rate regardless of how many players are online.

I've been online when the player count is 190+ and when it is less than 50 and I've never seen a change in NPC spawning so I don't think it was changed back to how it was when the server was on the old machine. Could be wrong and I just happen to be where the spawning is at.

's because there's usually a lot of people there. Every PC present has the chance of spawning an NPC wave. Freistadt can see as many as 4-8 players on average.

Once an NPC wave is spawned, it tends to hang around Freistadt since the NPCs tend to go hostile with the nearby lanes and can't hit them.

Completely agreed. They spawn even if they are not hostile to me.Hence, the Outcasts and Hackers around Kusari.
