Hello, folks! My name's Lowell Whutt. I used to work on Nansei . . . Anyway, in my exploring of the Omicron systems, I have somehow managed to dispatch a minor mind-node. I subsequently tractored this odd specimen into my ship.

I was hoping that you would be interested in performing more detailed analysis of this sample. I have it safely packed away in a freezer on Freeport-11 right now, but I'm willing to make preparations to deliver it to a Liberty research station.
I'm not asking much in the way of credits for this sample, as I know how hard scientific funding is to come by. I might be interested in some state-of-the-art plasma weapons if you fellas would like to recommend me to the main office in the Navy, but credits could work too.

Due to my rank, and placement within the battle group, i am unable to account for the opinion of the research department, or make an official decision. but, as far i'm concerned, anything that could help our cause should be secured. the weapons you asked for may not be feasible for us to give to you, due to the demand for weapons caused by the creation of our new Assault Wing. although, credits i'm sure, we can work something out with. i apologize for the long delay, but due to circumstances, it was necessary.
I shall contact the personnel that have the necessary authorization, and inform them to send you a formal message that is conclusive.
