How to set up different resalution and remove fps cap - Skyforger - 07-12-2011

Hi all. Im new, been reading rules and others stuff before playing.
And i really want to sort out my fps cap witch is 60.
My video card is ATI Readon EAH 4870 1gb it is Readon HD 4800 series.
My Vsync is off in ATI settings, but i still get the fps cap.
Should i change something in flconfigdatabase ?
Please help.

Turning off V-Sync should've done it ... are you sure you selected the right application in the ATI control center thing ? (I've got an Nvidia card, so I dunno' how the ATI center looks exactly)

Make sure you have your 3D settings configured so vertical refresh is set to be off regardless of application specification. That'll force VSync off, although I'm not sure why you'd want to.

As for FLConfigDatabase, it could well be your card is unlisted and therefor not getting the full array of graphics available to it. If so add it, there's a tutorial on that in the tutorial section of the forum.

V-sync is a pain in online shooters, and it is in Freelancer. Since it introduces input lag, and well ... 60 FPS are not that good if you want to play competitive online games.

uh... mine is always at 60 FPS :|
I think it's standard Freelancer FPS.

I've never had more then 60 FPS on any pc.

'Cause V-sync is mostly on... and you can't change it in the main menu.

Yes my V-sync if force off. And i do like +100 fps, as my mouse is high DPI and mouse feels slow at 60 fps.

Will check the tutorials now.

Can't find anywhere how to add video card to the list.
