(FO) 'New Eden' Or Eden - Serpentis - 07-18-2011 Welcome again outsider, welcome to the information database of the Virulian Enclave and it's colony 'Eden'. To start you off, we'€™ll start with an explanation of what the Virulian Enclave is and what we are doing for the Planet we all share, Gran Canaria. We of the Virulian Enclave are a group dedicated in our faith of making Gran Canaria a paradise, a place for all to enjoy a safe life, which includes the Bretonian port and the small settlement of Corsairs, along with the Zoner population that has already been existing on the planet for quite a while now. We intend to safe keep the planet'€™s inhabitants and ensure their safety; this is done by the Enclave'€™s Defense Forces, also named EDF and known as the Corporis Caste. These brave men and women do all the '€˜dirty work'€™ of keeping the planet safe, including stopping pirates from targeting transports to and from the planet and also defending the planet's inhabitants from other threats, seen or unseen. They are the men and women who keep the planet peaceful and flowing with life in the system of Omega 49, they are the ones that ensure you and your family can live a quiet and peaceful life in your dream home here at Eden. But not only that, the Virulian Enclave opens it's doors for any person that wants to learn new things, to dive into knowledge not many save the biggest and most prestigious universities around Sirius teach to their students. In the colony of Eden, we have several schools in which the Animus caste of the Enclave teach children of the citizens of the colony, giving them a great chance of becoming something more then their parents had a chance to do themselves. Was your dream being a doctor, a lawyer, an engineer perhaps but you never got the chance? Not in Eden, as long as you have the determination you can become anything, there is absolutely no age for learning. It is true however that a majority of the Enclaves citizens are very spiritual and believe in a deity we call The Creator, and it's philosophy that all creations are meant to live together in peace, man and artificial life, living and working together. That is why a high number of the colony's citizens are artificial life forms, in all shapes and sizes they exist amongst us, working as custodians or gardeners or even high ranking officers of the EDF, they aren'€™t below or higher than humans, they are the same, there is no different, everyone is an equal in the Virulian Enclave. Let not this bother you if you have doubts because of the spiritual part of the Enclave, many still hold no interest in the faith of the Enclave. But rather believe in our ideals, that we together can build a world where we all can live together in peace, understand and prosperity! Onto the Colony of Eden and what we can offer you, outsider. The Colony of Eden was established more then a year ago by the remaining Virulians that came from our original home which was abandoned because of a war that ravaged the area, we, the Virulian people were accepted into the Zoner community for our shared goal of living in peace without the influence of the houses around the sector of Sirius. For some time we worked together with Zoner Alliance that we were a part of. In this short time span we built our colony on the surface of Gran Canaria allowed by all Zoner factions, for months the colony and it'€™s constructions were built from nothing by salvaging the ships that were used during the Exodus, refined over weeks the metals where repurposed for the colony. Now it's been shortly over a year and the colony has grown large enough to support several million living within it's borders, along with having enough resource and financial income to grow even further, however, only three hundred thousand people live there today not including several thousand Zoner refugees that were taken in during the 'Freeport 1' incident. The colony has 7 districts, the Refugee district which is on the outskirts of the colony closest to the spaceport, this district is a collection of buildings and food & medical centers for those that need help, the Enclave gets over ten thousand people each month directly from this district, so it is definitely the most crowded. Some of which remain in the colony and become citizens of the Enclave, either becoming part of the worker caste or the Corporis caste, some take the spiritual road to seek meaning in their lives and join the Animus. The second district is the Space port and trade center, theheart of the Virulian trade and diplomatic actions, here the Diplomatic Council which is consisted of Animus members are located for convenience. This district is where each and every person that wants to start trade deals with the Enclave, can petition for it. Some wares that the Enclave produces are "Robotic components" and "Microchips", at least for export, normally the Enclave keep most of their wares for use within the Enclave itself. The third district is the Workers District, an area filled with clean industries and housing for workers and supervisors, this district also houses several EDF barracks for protection, and to keep things in order. The forth district is the Temple district, this is the religious center of Eden and contains the Virulian Temple, a giant structure in the middle of the city which shows the Patriarch's teachings on a giant holographic display in between the two large towers emerging from the temple itself. The teachings can be seen from all over Eden, how ever, to listen in requires one to adapt it's home's audio system to the Temple frequency. Most teachings are recordings of the patriarch's many thoughts or prayers taken from the book of the Creator, the teachings are not always online at broadcasting, but broadcast 4 hours a day, 30 minutes each prayer, one in the morning, one during midday and one during the afternoon and finishes early in the evening. These teachings and prayers are not shown to convince people to believe in the Creator but rather to give those that do believe to take 30 minutes off if they choose to listen to their leader read from the book of the Creator. The giant holographic display also shows weather reports and other scheduled information, such as incoming transports and transports that have been scheduled to leave. Other than the temple, there are a few shrines, mainly for praying and other religious activities, these shrines are the most used constructs for praying, the Temple is also used, but almost all of the inner parts are for Animus member use only, except the large landing bay directly inside the Temple'€™s walls, which is mainly used to transport resources needed. The fifth district is the general housing District, a district constructed solely for its citizens living and recreational lives, massive complexes made for housing and a lot of recreational complexes as well, including the harbor area, which is housed underneath the sea level. The sixth district is the Defense Force District, holding the massive compound called the Hand of the Creator, which is made to house training courses and lecture rooms, along with a small manufacturing center underneath the building itself. This district also has the only ground based shipyard to manufacture the many small ships the Enclave and especially the Defense forces uses, such as Sabres, but mostly it'€™s used to repair and maintain it's ships. Close by is also the EDF barracks, large complexes and open areas to train and house the EDF soldiers and forms. The seventh and last district is the Planetary Shield Primary Node, and Control center. Gran Canaria, just like many other planets, has a massive shield to protect it from spaceship weaponry or cosmic objects. But it is most useful against weapons of mass destruction, which would severely harm the inhabitants of the planet. While there are two other such facilities on the planet, being at the poles, and the one here at Eden is the primary node, and also the control center. While the other two nodes are mostly automated, the control node is fully staffed. *** Well Outsider, that'€™s just about it, now you know enough of the Enclave to make your own decision to stay, or whatever else you might want to do. But before you do make your decision, we also have a special announcement. While the Animus looks over most of the civilian population and religious activities, the EDF, as described before are also a very important caste of the Enclave. So on behalf of the EDF, we invite you to the cadet acceptance test and trial. Gran Canaria is a prosperous and fairly populated planet, and is a safe haven for everyone in Sirius, Human and Artificial Construct alike. But along with the smiling face and support the Animus gives, the EDF does the physical and most important protection. As such, they are always in need of new candidates and more forces to protect the citizens, so, if you are a citizen or person that would take arms and fight against any foe that dare threaten one of the most peaceful and prosperous civilization in Sirius, we invite you to join the EDF. The recruitment process is very fast, a simple health and identification check to make sure you are a Virulian citizen and are in a state to combat effectively, after that, you will go through several physical tests to see what you are capable of doing. Once you have been assigned to the EDF, you will begin physical training and other applications that will reinforce and ready your body to keep it at its optimum level of efficiency; this also includes Nanite Implantation, which is the base of Virulian technology and power. Once you have started your new '€˜job'€™ in the infantry division, if you are deemed worthy, you can be transferred to the space division, which is the center and most important role of the EDF. So, if you'€™d like to enlist, simply ask the nearest public A.I. information construct to aid and guide you through the processes.
