I give them a couple millions but just enogh to buy the small transport after that they are on their own.

Actually it would probabl be more in general then discovery anyway. Most people who give money usually do the same on other servers.
I usually give them like $100,000 to $200,000.

I prefer to give them enough to get one of the original freighters. from there, they can make their own money...
In the past, i used to give them a few mills, so they can get a transport and start trading big... but no longer. It spoils the fun. it feels better when you make your own money...

Well, actually, it`s EXTREMELY easy to get a respectable ship. In a few hours, starting only with a starflier, with no help, and going the pirate way (shooting BH to get rep first with rogues), i got a Wolfhound.
Do a FEW jobs for liberty police and you can get a Rhino, which opnes the gate to moneymaking :dry: . Why do we give newbs money?

I think that we shouldn't give them money because most often when we do they don't come back because they got to the top fast and missed everything else.
And... we wouldn't be wasting millions for someone who will never play again.

the only times i've given out more then 1 or 2 million to someone is because I know them and/or they're in a faction like the SF, RM, AW so I know they won't be running off too soon.
