The Corona Battlegroup at Heath - neko_soilder - 09-03-2011 *Jennifer rushes through the door to her lab, her team is already working as she arrives* *She looks up at the clock* Johnson, has the scientist from the Corona Battlegroup arrived yet? Not yet Ma'am, your late as usual. Quiet you, and be nice to our guest when she arrives. Who knows we might be able to recruit these people into full time Order agents. *She puts on a lab coat from the closet and begins to assist her colleges with preparing the laboratory* The Corona Battlegroup at Heath - Wulven - 09-04-2011 Stepping in through the door to the Labs, Dawn slowly stumbles, giving off looks of nervousness and excitement, all mixed together with confusion. Why had she been picked out of the blue to get shipped off to work with the Order? Must have something to do with her work with helping Denton. Even though she didnt really help much. The Corona Battlegroup at Heath - Theratrii - 09-04-2011 *Loraine gets off the shuttle, and looks around. mumbling to herself* Wow, quite an establishment they got here. beats my converted liner, that's for sure. Hopefully I'm not too late. Now, where do i go to find Jennifer? hmm, i don't want to get lost...hmm... *After someone points Loraine in the right direction, she finds the labs* Ah, hello. Im Loraine Estelonte, your the Dr. i talked to earlier. glad to meet you. *Loraine Extends her armored hand out for a handshake* The Corona Battlegroup at Heath - neko_soilder - 09-04-2011 *Jennifer greets Loraine, shaking her hand* Yes I'm Dr. Jennifer Ferrante, but you can just call me Jenn if you would like. I'm glad you arrived safely *she looks over to Dawn* I was unaware that your boss would send another scientist over as well, but i guess i really wasn't very specific when i was talking to Scarlet the other day in the bar. *She gives a gesture to both of them toward the changing rooms in the corner of the room* Please, both of you get dressed, we will be handling the remains of a superior Slomon K'Hara. Everyone who handles any "Nomad" remains is required to wear full body protection. The Corona Battlegroup at Heath - Theratrii - 09-08-2011 *Loraine looks in the direction of the changing room* my Armour should be sufficient protection. its a lighter variant of the Valkyrie. Its your station though, so your rules. but if you insist... Just so you're aware though, I'm still relatively new to "nomad" research. i mainly am working on things that make a bigger boom. I guess that's what happens when your stuck around a group of combat pilots. The Corona Battlegroup at Heath - neko_soilder - 09-10-2011 Don't even get me started about the unintellectual jargon I hear from the jar heads in the combat division. Most of them are nice but there are always a sore thumb that sticks out. *She looks up at the ceiling for a second, most likely trying to think of how to correctly answer Loraine" Oh, sorry about the amour deal, but the full bodies suits we currently have are specially designed to prevent any danger from nomad infestations. We have recorded that nomads don't only have the ability to infect human beings but ships and other technologies as well! Don't worry about not knowing much about the nomads, I still don't know everything there is about them. Anyway, it's why we've invited you here, so that we can share our information about these pests of mankind. The Corona Battlegroup at Heath - Theratrii - 09-13-2011 *without any warning, Loraine's X-302 "Angel" Class Power Armour's surface begins to shift. All the individual parts seem to move, exposinging Loraine's basic clothing. The armour quickly shuffles itself to Loraine's back, folding into a tight box, something that closely resembles a slim, hardcase backpack. The total time taken for the armour to compact itself taking no more than 20 seconds* I appologize for the...casual nature of my cloths...i dont normally go about unarmoured. *Loraine goes and equips the neccassary safety items and garments.* So, as it were, lets get to doing science. Oh, while im here I will need to conduct my own experiments in my time off the clock. the X-300 Power armour frame and its decendent varients still need a bit of work. But if you want to "poke a stick" at it, your welcome to it. i only have a limited number of Prototypes so far though. but for now...lets see what we can do with the "Nommies" as some say, hmm... *Loraine smiles at her combat pilot's nickname for the "Nomads"* But thanks again for inviting me out here. I've always wanted to meet The Order, ever since i heard of them...its an honour... The Corona Battlegroup at Heath - neko_soilder - 09-14-2011 *She stares at the box where the armour seems to have folded itself into* Now that is a nifty piece of technology. To tell you the truth I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen a lot of weird stuff in my time here. *She picks up her helmet and places it over her head. The seal makes a loud hissing noise as the suit is air-locked* Well, lets get to the fun part already Travis, Johnson! Get the mass spectrometer warmed up and a dissection kit ready on the table. *The two men don't say anything to Jennifer but instantly turn towards one another and proceed to do rock paper scissors. Travis wins, and laughs at Johnson who kicks the floor in disappointment* Hey get to work you two Right away Doc I swear you cheated *Johnson grumpily gets out the dissection kit while Travis presses the on button on mass spectrometer* *Jennifer goes over to a locked walk in freezer, entering in a code into the key pad. She opens the door and precedes inside to return with what seems to be a large glowing glob of purple material on a stretcher.* I know this doesn't look like much, but this is actually the "brain" of a nomad ship, particularity an Irra type which is similar in size and strength to a heavy cruiser. Because of the nature of the heavy weaponry used to neutralize nomads of that size, we rarely get remains that are in this good of shape for study. Go ahead and take your own observations if you would like, while the rest of my team continues to get ready. The Corona Battlegroup at Heath - Theratrii - 09-15-2011 *loraine taps her headwear, indicating the headset she's wearing* Everything i see, is being recorded. nice specimen, i've never actually seen one in this condition before. i dont really have very much experience at all, so i'll just follow your lead...your running this show. The Corona Battlegroup at Heath - neko_soilder - 09-18-2011 She looks up at the headset Oh, I didn't notice that before, you certainly came prepared. While we are looking over the sample feel free to point out anything you observe or have a question about, I'm a little worried about missing something myself. She scratches the back of her head, indicating that she obviously has a reputation for forgetting somethings... Well, the first thing we will be doing is cutting away a small sample of the outer layer of the specimen and putting it in the mass spectrometer. Jennifer gestures over to the scalpel Johnson put on the table Would you like to do the honours? |
