HELP - Cannot see servers - Erasmas - 09-06-2011

Hello:)I don't know the reason of this issue; to put it short: the server list is empty. When I access the multiplayer window, the game keeps saying "Connecting to global server..." and no server appears on the list.

HALP!!!!

check the firewall.or restart the system. Put the manual id. If it dont works. Just wait.

You could check your firewall and antivirus. Try putting your Freelancer.exe on the exceptions list and try it again, if not, you might just have a slow connection as I do and take some time for the server list to load, but that's very unlikely.

I only have the Windows firewall. Freelancer is in the exceptions, and it always worked until yesterday.
I restarted the system many times.
What is the "manual id"?
I waited... a lot. Nothing.

you look in your Freelancer>EXE folder , there is something called 'fldirectip'.
It will ask you to enter a server IP and will connect you to that server 'manually'.

So what IP should I put there?

Please, if anyone knows a solution, help me. I am 2nd in command of a faction, and I am totally unable to play. And it's more frustrating because I have no clue on the possible cause of the problem. The game always worked perfectly until yesterday, then, without reason, all servers ceased to appear on my server list.

You can always try to reboot your modem/router. Turn all connected computers off, turn modem off, wait for a minute, turn modem on, turn computers on.

Tried that as well, it was one of the first things I tried. Nothing.

Here is what I see.

Also I noticed that the more I wait there, the more the game becomes laggy (the background view and the menu animations), as if the game was loading something, or the system was running out of memory; the moment I click on "Main Menu" and get out of that screen, everything returns smooth as normal.
