The mod they made is cool but the phisics are to realistic.
They have actualy made it so that a object in motion stays in motion. so your cruising along and you wanna stop.. well you have to decelerate and you can also go well over 2000 MPS with this and the planet sizes are bigger than most FL maps.

Hey guys i found some more info over at Lancers Reactor. This mods is on the main page, just have to scroll down a bit

some of the stuff there is truely amazing
Quote taken from TLR news
"
. Everything is perfectly and universally scaled 1/20 of its real size.
. Planets larger than Six Hundred Thousand (600,000) Freelancer meters across. That is larger than standard Freelancer systems!!!
. The Sun is over Thirty-Eight Billion (38,000,000,000) Freelancer meters from Jupiter!
. Incredible textures of space bodies, most of which come from Hi-Resolution Hubble observations. "

Don`t need it anymore, since it`s only with the solar system.

Erm...don`t know....to try or not to try...that is the question....

Well i was a lil on their server. It looks cool. But the physics are something that is possibly most close to reality. I havent battled yet , but the fact that i can't even dock anywhere (the autopilot can't manage in the new physics situation) is showing pretty clear that there is some serious stuff there. Hopefully at some of my attempts to dock il manage to ask some1 how to do that. ( with normal 100% trust the engine of my lil fighter can accelarate to 1600 m/s for about a min. And try stopping that with reverce trust and by turning your A*s at the way u are going and firing the engines - ( like engine kill) takes more than the time u accelarated.
So basically i don't know nothing yet...

The theory theory to flying in zero gravity is you need counter force to stop.

Basically, if you use nothing but thrusters, you stand a much better chance and maneuvering, versus using tradiational engines for docking.

Sounds kewl, but i wouldn't recommend flying in that unless they modded the ships to have reverse thrusters.

*notes i've done space flight simulators at the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama a few years ago*
