To: Omicron Supply Industries - Bretonia Police Authority - 09-27-2011 Gentlemen Allow me to Introduce myself. My name is William Hughes. The ewly appointed Chief Commissioner. I'll keep this brief. Two Guncams were passed to me of an OSI vessel. The OSI-Katsumoto was scanned transporting 1250 Gain Wildlife. When questioned about his destination the captain let slip he was headed to Kusari Now. We in the Bretonian Police have a duty to ensure these unique and beautiful animals are not harmed. As such. Any ship wishing to transport them must have a valid license. After double checking It seems the vessel does not. It Is therefore my duty to Inform you that the vessel WILL be required to pay a fine of Seven Million Sirus Credits. If payment Is not received by BPA)Anvil In five day time. The fine will pass out of the Captains hands. And into the OSI's hands. At which point you will be held fully responsible Good Day. Greetings Commissioner and congratulations on your appointment.
The Board was wondering if this vessel would cause us any trouble when we caught wind of it; it would seem our suspicion was well founded. You see, Commissioner, this vessel is not an OSI transport; never has and never will. I can only presume he was using a stolen transponder. I believe our Director of Security had direct contact with the vessel's captain and managed to convince him to remove the transponder. I'm sure you're probably saying to yourself this sounds like a very convenient story. I'd probably be thinking the same if I were in your shoes. I'd like to point to the fact that we hold both a Humanitarian Aid License and a Military Material License. We've always purchased the required licensing to transport restricted goods within your space. Why would we jeopardize our ability to transit your space for a cargo hold of wildlife? We feel that paying the fine could be taken as an admission of guilt and this isn't acceptable to the Board, but our ability to transit through your space is something must consider. Therefore we are willing to to work with the Police Authority in resolving this issue. |
