[font=Impact] It’s not a secret that Dresden is a dangerous place. The increase of the Hessian activity forced the Rheinland government make moves that weakened their position in the Libertonian war, but stabilized the internal situation. Even though the stations are heavy guarded against attack, the Hessian keep performing their actions against the corporations there, without fear of the Rheinwehr’s increased security within the system.
The Biggest thorn in their side is the Battleship Altenburg which is positioned in a very strategic place; Central Dresden, using this position to send out fighters to intercept the hessians in no time, no matter where they may be. Finding the weak spot of the battleship from outside was not successful, so the Hessians had to think of another way to make Altenburg’s fault apparent.
The Bundschuh saw that Battleship Altenburg is slowing down the process of the revolution. Without the hessian forces, the chance of success was nearly zero, so they had to come up with a plan to rebalance the powers in Dresden.
One member of the Bundschuh movement, working undercover for the Rheinwehr, managed to be ordered for duty to Battleship Altenburg. After some weeks, he found something important. Every three months the Battleship reboots its systems and it’s blind for about 15 minutes. In this 15 minute time span, the Altenburg’s targeting systems are completely offline, rendering its powerful weaponry useless. Security generally remains the same, as the Rheinwehr believes it would cause suspicion otherwise.
The Bundschuh were very satisfied with this information and have met directly with the Hessians to discuss a plan to use this time for a big strike. They planned to attack the Leipzig station and without the Rheinwehr support it would be totally defenseless.
The Hessians sent their best pilots for this mission who had to get out the cloud at the exact time of the Altenburg’s reboot and aim for the Leipzig station.
When they were nearly at the station, they have received a distress message that Altenburg’s reboot lasted less than expected. The Bundschuh, knowing their fault in this mission sent some of their fighters to help out the hessians against the closing Rheinwehr fighters….
