To the Outcast - Roberto Cofresi - 11-19-2011 ***Open Transmission*** ***Encrypted channel*** Saludos Outcast, My name is Roberto Cofresi. I am a junker by birth and a pirate by trade. Until recently I worked as a hired hand in a salvager ship collecting metal and smuggling Cardimine. Once I earned enough credits I made a pilgrimage to Malta to purchase and outfit a Tridente. I completed mission after mission until I earned the respect of the Outcast. I bought and outfitted the Tridente; and before leaving Cartagena, I baptized it "El Mosquito". Before you judge me and my transgression, please let me explain. My father, a proud junker, recently pass away due to injuries sustain during a Xeno attack. He always talked about how our ancestors arrived on board the Hispania, struggled in the colonization of Malta, and migrated into the Puerto Rico system seeking better opportunities. He made us speak Spanish at the dinner table so we will not forget our roots. He was a proud man dreaming of buying a border world ship to cruise Sirius. Something he will not get to do. He believed border world ships symbolize the indomitable human spirit. Before he die he to told me to seek my own fortune and to make Sirius my playground. To honor him and to settle a score with the Xenos I selected a Tridente ship believing it was a border world ship. While in the Magellan system, I encountered a skillful Vigilante who crippled "El Mosquito" and took 100 Bounty hunters I had in my cargo bay. He also informed me that the Tridente is not a border world ship but an Outcast ship. I did not believe him of course, after all he is a vigilante and I have seen the Tridente listed as a border world ship. I wanted to make sure I was not violating any Outcast restrictions and after a short research I realized my foe was correct. I have been illegally flying an Outcast restricted ship. For that I can only apologize and come to you to correct my wrong doing. I am also here to officially request permission to fly "El Mosquito" which is currently docked in Vieques shipyard for repairs and while I visit with my mother in the Carolina Outpost. I hate to force the issue but the repairs to El.Mosquito are almost complete and therefore payment is almost upon me. The lost of income is not proportionate to the length of time docked at Vieques. I am wondering if I am bringing this piece of business on the right channel. I contacted an Outcast who suggested I make contact through this channel. Does anyone copy?.... Testing, testing, testing..... Does anyone copy?.... Saludos Outcast, I am happy to report "El Mosquito" repairs are complete. The ship looks better than ever. They even waxed it and detailed it for me. However, The management of Vieques shipyard is asking for storage fee because it has been docked for so long. I request you grant me permission to keep flying "El Mosquito" (Outcast GunBoat-Tridente). Patiently waiting for a replay. I appreciate your asking for our approval to fly our ship, yet I find it hard to believe you didnt know it was ours in the first place. Still, we will give you the benefit of the doubt. Anytime we have asked the Junkers for technology we have been denied under the auspices of neutrality. They do not wish to be seen taking sides of the various groups they deal with. And we are not comfortable giving our military equipment to someone who may use it against us. For these reasons I must deny your request. I am sure you will be able to find an Outcast who will pay you a fair price for your ship. Garrison, Brandon Adm. 101st Ghosts of Razgriz ...transmission ends... I am a bit disappointed with the outcome but I do understand your position. I was not aware of the politics involving the Outcast and Junkers. Politics are for the educated folks. I am just a "campesino", or as my father would have said: a "jibarito", with little schooling. Actually, I am not aware of too many things... but I am learning from those inhabiting Sirius sector as I am encountering them. I guess I unknowingly enrolled in Hard Knocks University. While I was born a Junker, I carry an independent pirate Id as trying to avoid the overwhelming amount of politics. I guess there is no escaping politics after all. However, I understand your position and that is that. Again, gracias por your consideration to my request. Roberto Cofresi ...end transmission... |
