Just wanted to get a conscenous on how you all feel.
As for me. I would say yes. I feel that Gunboats and bombers are meant for capital fleets, fighting other capital fleets.

Cruise disruptors are an essential part of fleet combat. Good luck taking that battleship down if it just cruises away. Also, a bomber who can't stop a gunboat from engine-killing is a very dead bomber.
Same applies to gunboats which are attacking cruisers.
If you're looking to stop them pirating, you'll have to find some other method, I guess.

well what i was thinking was that the VHF's and below would be more of a role in your cap fleets. basically if you destroy your enemie's Tacklers, you have upper hand on where and when you fight.
but I don't want this to become another pirate thread. We've had a ton of them all ready.

No, just no!
Gunboats and bombers fill out many more rols than just beeing part of a fleet. I'm too tired to explain you all of them. Also if i follow your logic, GBs and bombers were part of a fleet, but not cruisers...

No.
If bomber's didn't have CD's, you might as well use a fighter. The duel torp slot is the biggest perk the bomber has. Bombers are big, heavy, and a Barge flies faster than the cannons shoot. Enough with the bomber nerfs.
Gunboats on the other hand, they're meant for anti-fighter. How can you pew a fighter if it cruises away?

Yes - for Pirate Bombers/Gunboats
No - for Lawfull ships.

Bombers are the main pirating tools of pirates, and they are meant to be. They are vulnerable to gunboats and enemy fighters, thus they are reasonably balanced. There is no need to remove CDs from bombers. No justification for it either.
Just because pirates kill you with one, doesn't mean they need to lose their ability to kill you with one.
