Can "Rogue Nations" fund themselves by standing outside their capital (in all Gunboats) destroying each other?

I ask this because I almost never see Corsairs outside of Gamma, Kappa, and Delta...

I know that [TBH] and -Benitez take good care to keep sacred the Corsair name, and do Pirate and other such normal Corsair activity.

My question is, though, that when passing through Gamma (as my tag on my smuggler is for some reason continually gravitating towards Corsair) on a normal Optronics --> Tripoli, Artifacts --> New Tokyo run, I continually see a horde of what is easily four Corsair Gunboats, doing effective nothing...Besides talking OORP with completely no distinction between OORP and RP talk....So, how do they fund their endless duels, and why do the [TBH] and -Benitez tolerate such huge fleets of what are, effectively, even though they have prefixes for some odd reason, independent Corsair Fleets?

I wouldn't ask this question if I saw this in any other faction, such as the Blood Dragons or the Outcasts or anyone else, did the same thing....
I personally have only seen one Blood Dragon in Chukogu at one time...and have almost never seen any GC in Hokkaido...Outcasts I do see in Alpha, but they don't seem to have this problem for some reason...And I have seen them leaving Alpha regularly (such as into Tau-37 and Sigma 19) and also far into Bretonia and even in Kyushu a couple of times...

Well, this might have digressed into a /rant...
But honestly, why guys?

Edit: And is [OPG] an official faction? I see them regularly outside Gamma in only Gunboats acting quite OORP....

same question that I have been asking myself a lot of time...

Crete is much more of ooRP "hanging out" place than any other place in whole sirius.... Manhattan included.

EDIT: off course 30mins before/after a major event it's ok.. but this is happens 24/7/

Yes...Next time you see this, take a screenshot and sanction report it.

oorp Chat is NOT permitted in any systems, unless it is a dire emergency.

I feel no sympathy for those who oorp chat on the server and don't contribute to the forums either...Just sanction report them.

I've been saying this for months...

what is the great attraction of the corsairs, and liberty navy... these two NPC factions seem to have as many independents (or more) then the rest of the factions in the server combined.

Well, Liberty because there are a lot of people.
Corsairs, I have no idea. I only have one guess, because newbs goes on lancersreactor, sees the Titan is virtually the best ship (while in reality, Eagle and Sabre are much better to most people's opinion...) in the game so goes corsair or something like that.

Sounds like another serious case of the "Planet Harris Virus"...

Quarantine em? Send in a medical [Admin] team to do triage...?

Leave a trail of C'Tan treats for the Phantoms to follow there...?

I'll take my gold to the apes on Primus, thank you.

Oh, wait! This might actually give all those BHG Battlecruiser in New York something to do!

Five Tons of Flax?

I reckon in Vanilla they had some of the best ships, so players gravitated towards them from a get go (Corsairs - at least that's my memroies from SP, a long time ago); as for Liberty: lots going on, and you're starting green with them anyhow.

"I personally have only seen one Blood Dragon in Chukogu at one time.."
Given the traffic through S-13/Chugoku/Hokkaido, that's weird.

I was on a bit the past two days, and saw quite some Dragons & GC active in system and around it. Other than very short periods of inactivity, i missed half the traders because i was pirating someone else at that time. It's come so far that i either had to direct friendly sponsors to the Blood Dragon Cause to our base so i could take some of their overfilled cargoholds for our stocks faster, since i was still loaded up from the last guy; or tell them to go on for now & bring their gifts on the return trip.

And all of that was with some more Dragons and the odd CG in the system as well.

If trade though there keeps increaseing, my next ship will be an asteroid called 'tax station' i put in the middle between the two Jumpholes. Maybe with a McSirius next to it for extra income.

Must be time zone differences then..But I do see [GC] & NovaPG in New Tokyo, Kyushu, and Honshu quite frequently...Even then, you are making money since a route flows directly through the system (from what I understood in your post), the Corsairs make no money standing in Gamma, (Besides the guy who asked for payment to land on Crete today, he make 400k....) and are pretty much stagnant....

Uuurggghhhhhh This is getting SO old....

Disclaimer: Yes i have a Corsair char, Yes he flies cap ships as well as a fighter, Yes he is independent, (it's part of his Role Play)

A couple of weeks ago the rant was "waaaa waaaah independent Corsairs in cap ships flying all over Sirius" now its "waaaah waaaaah independant Corsairs in cap ships just hanging around Gamma"..... You can't bloody win!!!

I know there a couple of bad eggs amongst the indie lot in gamma, those who stay in gamma know who they are, the clans know who they are as well - there is talk amongst those with an interest in the topic about how to coax these players into Role play.... There is OORP chat in the system as there does seem to be a gravitation of new players into the area... WHY? i have no idea... but you have to accept that in a system with lots of Newbies its gonna happen, which means you can do 2 things - Lawyer it up and report them, which is your right, or you can use your experience and knowledge to guide these people and HELP them into RP.....

BUT that being the case, I've spent quite a bit of time the last few evenings (china time) doing exactly whats being complained about, loitering around gamma, I've RP'd with quite a few of these "wicked independent" Corsairs who all seem to be lumped into the same bucket of OORPness and quite frankly almost all of them Role Played back, and some of them were quite fun, indeed even funny about it. I'm not excusing OORP behavior, nor people just PVP'ing for the sake of it... i think in the time I've been here i hope I've RP'd my way into some kind of respect from the community but there is one thing that seems to happen here that really grates - people need to chill out and STOP TELLING OTHER PEOPLE HOW THEY SHOULD ROLE PLAY.

(the cap's were for emphasis, not for shouting) - im not flaming the guy who made this post, so, hope its not taken this way, but rather a trend that i have noticed going on for some time. .. ok... rant over now......i'm gonna go loiter some more, and perhaps cause the downfall of civilization as we know it....

EDIT: The OPG are a growing faction among the Corsairs.. i dont know the full story, im not sure if they are officially official or not (Gentle?) - but their leader is a known Role player and respected among the community and im pretty sure he wouldnt like OORPness from his people - if there is, SS it and send him a copy.
