I have just installed 4.86 and my account ID is still the same but my characters are not showing up on the RP 24/7 server
Any help is appreciated

Re installation means you have your old account signature removed. Your ships are still on the account but the reinstall created another account. PM the Admins nicely (I suggest Gheis) for a movechar code set on your characters.
OR
You haven't logged in for 6 months and your characters got removed.
Next time, please backup your accounts.

You don't understand, I did back up my account ID, and when i went to re input it it was still the same but none of my ships show up

Ok this...I don't know.
Was it inactivity wiped?
Also, do a little test. Givecash to one of your characters. If the cash can be transferred, that means your character still exists. Then ask an admin to set a movechar code.
Other than that. Sorry, can't help you further if that is the case.
