AFA Bomber - Zelot - 03-21-2008
SO It seems as if the Civi Bomber is pretty much buggered to bloody hell (Ugur don't ignore me:)) So I need to find a new bomber to use for the AFA which leads to asking for advice. I am thinking of 3 right now, they all could be justified in RP but all have drawbacks. any advice would be helpful.
1. Kusari Bomber - RP is fairly obvious, but I don't like the idea of pirating in KNF ships. In RP I think it would lead to a connection between KNF and AFA which should be avoided.
2. Taliidin Bomber - Made by GMG. GMG and Samura(AFA's under the table benifactor) have some sort of agreement. The problem with this is that the GMG support the Blood Dragons, and they are an enemy of the AFA.
3. Corsair Bomber - AFA already has an arms deal with the TBH, and the FA and Corsairs are allied NPC factions, but I don't like the RP of a Kusari militia going to Gamma everytime they need a bomber.

GMG is hostile to Hogosha, so they most certainly won't sell their ships to FA, which are their allies.
Black Dragons were using 2 Kusari bombers, but we were not pirating in Kusari at any times.
We got them from KNF, of course.
But while Hogosha is quasi-legal, FA is officially illegal organization.
And flying KNF ships would put doubt in people minds.
So, I'd say - Praetorian.

I think that the kusari bomber would be best, you could make up a story on how you 'stole' them or 'captured' them from the military as a cover story. But.....the Taiiden bomber is anther good option as it is as much a civilian bomber as the RoC and is sold at the same location.

I don't mean to slight you, Zelot, but if the XA can stick to our Rocs, than so can the AFA. Frankly, no other option is available to the Xenos, while the AFA has some options. But unfortunately, what do you think players will think when AFA comes around flying the Praet around?

Got to say Zelot, we the Xenos have many Rocs, we deal with it, the Cd problem can be coped with by checking every time you undock, and the docking problem can be coped with by quick docking.
We have only one non-Roc and if we tried to take the Silver Shoebox off Cobra I think he'd kill us all.
Plus your preggers chicken is getting a revamp, and will look extra sexy when the next mod comes out.

Even though I know this isn't what you're going for, the issues with the preggers eagle's torp slots can be resolved with a little juggling of what's mounted where. If yer CD doesn't seem to want to fire, or your nova, switch 'em out and try again.
It take a little creative troubleshooting, but the thing can manage any combination of disruptors, torps and so on. Just make sure to test everything before launching for the day!

When is the new mod gonna be there? Soon, I think. I hope until then you can fly that preggo bug. It will do fine for the time.
