Note: this is not a faction proposal or a fake/hidden faction proposal. Just a group presentation. No, seriously.

Well, as some of you might have noticed, there are a few vessels using the tag "DSE)" flying around.

Seeing that so-called unofficial factions are quite a delicate topic right now, I thought it would be better to explain whats going on rather than to let this stay an unclear topic.

DSE does as many of you have already guessed at this point stand for Deep Space Engineering.
The whole thing started as a little idea: Nevermore and I wanted to roleplay a trader and his escort. After a few days, we were asked by other players if they could join the fun, and, since we thought itd be nice to have company, quickly gathered a little group.
Right now, we have

Nevermore DSE)William.Dayton (Stinger)
Etaphreven DSE)San.Antonio (Armored Transport)
Simon Black DSE)Repair.Unit-A25 (Repair Ship)
Clayph DSE)Joe.Petrucci (Stinger)
and me DSE)Amarillo (Mammoth)

Tag and ID are DSE. As you can see above, the ships are either civilian or Liberty designs.

As said, we basically are a bunch of traders and their escort pilots.
Furthermore, our actions are always benefiting Liberty or DSE directly: for example, supplying LD-14 is profitable to DSE they own Pittsburgh, the source of Boron. The shipment of gate parts to Hokkaido makes sense as well: DSE is constructing a gate to Chugoku there.

DSE is the brawn of Liberty and centred in said house as well, so it is only natural that we will be around there. Still, we try to de-centralize the roleplay as much as possible - which is not that difficult, as the convoys have to leave Liberty in order to work for DSE.

Any criticism (preferably the constructive one) is of course welcome. Should there be any doubts or concerns, feel free to post away. After all, this thread was written with the intention to see if this way of roleplay would be accepted by the community.

Oh, and no, we do not recruit or such a thing a group is large enough with five people, in my opinion.

Good luck with it sir. In my opinion, little groups like this are beneficial.
We all know that having a clan for every NPC faction would be un-sustainable. Small groups like this are great for filling those gaps.

I met you guys in-game and it was very nicely played out, wish I would have had a CD on me though...

Well, I enjoyed our little RP in kyushu, you can excpect fun in Kusari as we hate DSE as those are the nasty little buggers who started all the trouble by bringing the TL's and JG's to Kusari

Interesting. Congratulations on not using a symbol at the start of you names. DSE) is much nicer looking than [DSE].

Heh, I love my DSE character. I'm having so much fun!:)

This looks like an excellent presentation, Sleipnir.

Was away, celebrating easter with my grandmother and my sister, so I missed those posts...

Anyways, thanks everyone for the positive feedback! I'll see if I can throw a presentation of the DSE NPC faction together, so that our roleplay gets a tad more background here on the forums.
