Bounty Hunter Bottlenose - Moofles - 01-06-2012 Hello all, been lurking on the forums for a little while now, been poodling about in disco now having a great time. Finally decided to pick myself up a Bottlenose Gunboat, my question is thus though. What sort of set up do you suggest. At the moment its kitted out with 2 BH Turrets (forward) 1 generic missle turret (forward) 1 cerbrus (forward) 2 battle razor (rear firing) I was hoping for a nice anti fighter/bomber set up with the forward guns, and traversing into rear flight would give me a better chance against other gunboats. Please discuss and help out a new guy with a new ship. Cheers. Bounty Hunter Bottlenose - Swallow - 01-06-2012 cerbers of front, pulses on back. backfiring Bounty Hunter Bottlenose - Yber - 01-06-2012 4 razors- 2 pulses. 3 razors forward, 1 pulse forward. 1 razor backward, 1 pulse backward. This way you can insta most of snubs except werewolf (now really buffed), SHF and some bombers. Against gunboats, if they don't use steering, it's win too. I wouldn't advice you to use cerberus, you'll have out of energy pretty soon. I must admit i am not a great shot, so as soon as a snub starts moving i have no chance of hitting it. The pulese and razors are so slow firing. Bounty Hunter Bottlenose - Xenosaga - 01-06-2012 Going full basic (and maybe one missile) works too, you gotta fly it a bit like a SHF then and just keep on chainfiring at snubs. Bounty Hunter Bottlenose - Swallow - 01-06-2012 Dont tell me about powerhungry cerbers, I know that. But snipig snubs with cerbers quite a sweet thing to do. Also, agains gbs - backfire with pulses, and then cut hull with cerbers ( you will be surprised on HOW fast cerbers are working on hull ). |
