Addressed to the Kingdom of Bretonia - The Republic Of Liberty - 01-13-2012 To whom it may concern;
In the light of the surrender of the Empire of Kusari and other far-reaching consequences of the powershift in the Tau subsector, I would like to contact a member of your administration to discuss cooperation on defensive matters. Among our concerns in the Republic is the security situation of the Kingdom of Bretonia. As you may know, we are continuing to forcefully discourage the Federal Republic of Rheinland from pursuing its neo-colonialist agenda. In the past, we felt that intervening to correct the similar attitude of the old Empire of Kusari would not be strategically safe or cost effective for the Republic. In this vein, we felt that a risk in deploying our forces far from the core would outweigh the benefits and crucially, further destablise the entirity of Sirius. However, there is a high risk of this no longer being the case. The entry of Gallia into the sectorwide geo-politics presents themselves as a wildcard, and from what little is known, significant power for their status. While we have not fully ascertained their capabilities, I have received information that Gallia could be a very significant unknown. This is proving especially true, given the recent cessation of hostilities between the Kingdom of Bretonia and the Empire of Kusari, supposedly due to Gallic intervention. The surrender of the Empire of Kusari removes the major secondary threat to the sovereignty of this nation. I am sure that you could understand our unwillingness to leave our core space unprotected in the face of a military confrontation at our northern border due to assisting you directly in your conflict. However, this is now no longer the case. With the situation between ourselves and the Federal Republic of Rheinland well in-hand, we now possess more flexibility with the deployment of our forces. This leads me on to the topic of direct military assistance being given to the Kingdom of Bretonia, in a similar way as was afforded during your brief confrontation with the Federal Republic of Rheinland. The purpose would be the same; to do everything within our power to ensure the survival and security of our allies, yourselves. A strong and stable Bretonia is in both of our interests. My first question is, do you require direct assistance? This is the key question; if you do not need or want assistance, then any discussion on the matter would not be productive.
However, if this is an option that you are considering, I would like to contact a representative of your administration to discuss anything that we could do in further detail, and the mutually beneficial arrangements that we could agree upon as a result. Crucially, we would like to contact your representative privately over a secured line, just in case anybody happens to eavesdrop more than is healthy. We await your reply. - Robert McKay, Secretary of State for Defense Addressed to the Kingdom of Bretonia - The Republic Of Liberty - 01-22-2012 To whom it may concern;

-Baroness Snowdown Fleet Admiral of the Bretonia Armed Forces Addressed to the Kingdom of Bretonia - The Republic Of Liberty - 02-18-2012 Baroness Evyn Hunter;
I have received a request to allow one Bretonian Destroyer under the Merchant Navy to be permitted through the Republic of Liberty. It's purpose is said to be escort missions only. Since under the agreement as it stands now, our forces would be allowed throughout the Kingdom of Bretonia, I see no reason not to add this Bretonian Destroyer to the final copy. All I need to know is its callsign or designation, and it can be recorded in the final published document, which was about to be made official. - Robert McKay, Secretary of State for Defense Addressed to the Kingdom of Bretonia - Dab - 02-20-2012 Incoming Transmission Comm ID: Baroness Evyn Hunter Origin: Whitehall Recipients: Robert McKay Lord Hamilton tells me they are christening it as the HMS Exeter. <div align="right]End Transmission

Since Admiral Baroness Hunter has retired from active duty, it's up to me to clear up the following matter. We have received a request to add one of Libertie's secondary Fleet units to the actual standing contract, and as it seems, the unit known as LNS-Pacifica has got a unit recommendation. From our side, I don't see any objections to adding the ship in question to the actual standing contract. - Carbon Copy - I am awaiting your answer, With all due respect, and in everlasting faith of her majesty Fleet Admiral Lord Hamilton Admiralty Headquarters, Battleship Harlow, Salisbury system |
