General point of discussion here, should guard systems have buy-sell points that are closed to the public? Right now most guard systems only buy-sell oxygen and water, but some of them are getting new commodities added at market rates. Since these are guard systems, what this means is that only members of that faction will be able to develop trade routes into that system. Is this alright?

For an extreme case, Vespucci guard system has a base with the highest H-Fuel purchase price in the game. Vespucci is the guard system for a closed faction. Only members of that faction will ever be able to land on that base and sell H-Fuel. NOBODY ELSE will ever be able to develop the same trade run for the same profit. And it's the highest purchase price in the game. Is this alright?

Sigma-59 is the GMG Guard System, it is however open to the general public, provided you can survive the NPCs and dock at the stations. The system is also included in the economy, so look around what to export/import to the system.

You are fixated on price when that is largely irrelevant. Fort Leniex is further away from Fujisawa than any other base purchasing H-Fuel, but it is hardly the best choice for a trader, since Leniex doesn't offer much in the way of choices for the outbound trip. In fact, nearly every lawful option for selling H-Fuel is a better choice than Leniex is.

If you can provide an example of a sale point within a guard system that offers top rates of return for both imports and exports, then you will have a valid example of a potential issue. What you have here is not.

In any case, there are NO routes into or out of any guard system that are better than routes that don't use a guard system. So I don't see any cause for criticism.

What I am thinking about is camping the Magellan tradelanes for ships with H-Fuel (this includes NPC cargo ships), then land on Vespucci and sell the captured H-Fuel. It's one-hop to millions of credits as fast as the ships are coming. We used to see similar things with Galileo and Cassini in 4.85 all the time. It's a problem with exploitable mechanics providing an unfair advantage (can the enemies make credits at the same rate?).

On a general point the balance should be highest prices at the most accessible bases. If you want the most for your pirated goods, load up the pirate train and make a trek to the same sell points as everybody else. Generally speaking the Freeports should pay the most for everything, and commodites should be distributed accordingly. Sell-points that are more convenient to the buy- or spawn-point should pay less. Sell-points that are limited access (such as unlawful only) should pay way less. Sell-points in private faction systems should not exist period. That is my opinion.
