Evenin', gentlemen.

*The cigar tip flares up*

I'm Silver, from the Reaver Merc. Co.

*Exhales*

Those guys with colors and the good habit of killing people you don't like.

But, i ain't here to waste your time and money for talkin' about my business.

I'm here to make business with you fine gents.

*The cigar tip flares again*

Need a.. massive loan, and you are known to own top credits.

For a project.

You interested?

Reaver Merc. Co. Owner,
Silver.

Silver,

Well. I suppose we would need to know a bit more about what you are asking for and what you intend to do with it, as well as how you would plan to repay us. At the moment, with the information you have given, I would say that we are not interested as it would be too risky an investment. If you care to share more details, that assessment might change.

Evenin', Mister Jethro.

Thanks for the quick reply.

*The cigar tip flares up*

I was at first just wonderin' if you were willing to loan, which seems you are.

*Exhales*

This little pet project of mine is.. well, a base for the company.

Why, you're probably asking yerself.

*The cigar tip flares again*

I don't like to live on rented space.

See, with you gents, it's all business and you show the willingness to deal
with anyone with a proper negotiation and creds.

Same for us.

We need a place of own.. But that everyone can come and enjoy a drink and do some business.

So we are willing to build one for that.
With your creds, and the contacts we have with IMG, Zoners and DSE,
it's possible to build something that can fit the bill to our needs.

We already have some cash set aside for that, but it ain't nowhere near 'nough as you can imagine for such venture.

*Exhales*

As for repaying... As fast as possible?

We don't like debts.

And we love to collect, so expect a very speedy return of your investement.

So Mr. Jethro, what do you think?

Reaver Merc. Co. Owner,
Silver.

Silver,

You are tiptoeing around the point here Silver, which makes me nervous. Lets get to the brass tacks eh? How much are you looking for, give me a number, then I can figure out if it is an investment we are interested in. Aside from that, your plan for repayment leaves much to be desired. You are asking us to put out, some amount of money, which you dont seem to want to tell me, and all we have is your word you will pay it back? No offense Silver, but your company has quite the reputation for reneging on deals.

Mr. Jethro.

You wound me.

Do tell me 'bout that 'reputation' you have been hearing.

Do tell.

*The cigar tip flares up*

And since you like numbers that much, here's a number.

*Exhales*

Two billion creds.

*The cigar tip flares again*

And word for it?

Mr. Jethro, i thought you were a business man.

*She grins and exhales*

Contracts exist for such things. There's no 'word'.

Just plain business, credits and laws.

You loan, i sign, i pay.

If i don't pay, then the almighty A.D.M.I.N.S. will rip my company a new one with a lawsuit and what not.

*She puts the cigar away*

Word for it.

*She laughs*

What are we?
Corsairs?

Silver.

Silver,

As to your rep, we hear things, and a good businessman is always listening to the gossip, we might not take it at face value, but it would be quite negligent to ignore it.

Also, I am not sure what the ADMIN court you speak of is. I have heard of no such thing, and I am not quite clear what it's jurisdiction is.

Jurisdiction, that is another one of my problems, due to the, well, flexible nature of the Reavers legal status in different houses, I am really not sure what guarantee's we could be given that you would abide by any contract we would sign on this matter. Now, if there were some collateral involved, we might be able to take another look, but at the moment, and with the huge sum you are looking for, our number crunchers feel it is just too large a risk for our company to take.

Rep.

*Laughs and lights up another cigar*

The only deals that went south were the deals that the said contractors closed the contract,
thus leaving us free to pursue other contracts.

It's what a company usually do to prevent going down the drain.

I fail to see where an operation like ours, where people pay us to provide a
service where afterwards decide to drop us, issues a bad reputation.

*The cigar tip flares up*

Jethro, love, as you deal with trading and facilitating services, the Reaver Merc. Co. provides a service.

*Exhales*

There is no such things as enemies. Only market competitors.

There is no such thing as allegiances to A or B. There is a contract that is followed.

I still see that the incapability of understanding the whole 'mercenary' business is
one that still remains until today.

*The cigar tip flares again*

Now back to business.

As collateral for the loan... How about the base itself?

We fail to pay, you get the ownership of a nice base.. And Jed. He's a great musician.

*Exhales*

Or.

The Company.

*Grins*

Yup. You heard it.

The most relentless business like individuals ever to grace Sirius.

In your payroll.

*The cigar tip flares again*

What do you think?

Silver.

Gentlemen,

While Mister Jethro is quite correct, there are legal complications to contracts that would, at best, put the whole IND into a difficult financial spot, were it to be exposed to a default by the borrower, I am wondering if there is room for members of the IND to form their own, personal, investments into this?

I have a group of gentlemen who are willing to lay down these funds, using the base in question as collateral. This will not be so much of a loan, but more an investment into Reaver services, and your continued operations for our mutual benefit.

If Mister Jethro doesn't object, we can proceed, under the understanding that the IND itself is protected from any unfortunate financial storms, and that any risk is absorbed by the individuals participating in the investment itself.

I am interested in what you gentlemen think,

Dogulas Riche,

Evenin', Mr. Riche.

*The cigar tip flares up*

Your proposal is a possible answer to our current pickle.

*Exhales*

But the whole.. someone investing money into.. my Company.. does make my nose twitch.
Especially from unnamed gentlemen that could suddenly become my partners.

*The cigar tip flares again*

What 'bout my collateral proposals to IND?

*Exhales*

They seem quite fair, i think.

Sir,

The investors in question are all members of the IND, and of course they shall be introduced to you so that you can meet them and discuss the finer details. The key aim is to provide you with the investment you require, with the collateral you have offered, with a minimal risk to both businesses.

I have always enjoyed the business arrangements between the Reavers and the IND, especially when it comes to dealing with those convicted criminals known as the Colonial Remnant.

Let us look forward to a long and fruitful partnership with this investment, I am happy to review your full offer and present it to members of the IND interested in participating.
