Turet steering 4.86 v3. - Govedo13 - 02-04-2012 A lot from here: http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?sh...118615&st=0 ' Wrote:I am a bit confused with turret steering in 4.86 v3. I am not expert with GBs/Crusiers but I see the currnet version 3 steering hard to use and confusing, I putted some recommendations that could help. I hope that Assault1, Veygaar, Doj,Alberto,Charos and the EDGE guys also will give feedback since they are the best GB pilots around in order to balance properly steering and GBs/Cruisers/ Auto Aim issues. Turet steering 4.86 v3. - Shiza - 02-04-2012 You steer left/right and camera plans left/right, when you steer up/down your camera is stabilized and ship moves. Left click (when not in mouse flight) + turn left/right will fix your camera and move a ship but you will have problems with shooting while doing that. I believe this change was unintentional and that will be fixed in next update. Camera should be stabilized (when not in mousemove), and pitch up/down, turn left/right should move a ship. Turet steering 4.86 v3. - Grumblesaur - 02-04-2012 You have to hit your spacebar to enable mouse flight. That's all I have to say I think. Turet steering 4.86 v3. - mjolnir - 02-06-2012 Some of the changes to the behavior of the camera during turret steering when not in freeflight mode were rather unintentional and will be looked into. ------------------------------------------------------------------ When it comes to GBs, yes turret steering makes firing arcs and turret number more than agility and size compared with 4.85. This already prompted some small balance tweak and more will likely follow. Imo heavy GBs are now actually nice, before they were relatively useless compared with the small ones. Turet steering 4.86 v3. - Veygaar - 02-06-2012 .86 GB's are the best I've seen so far. They die easily to other GB's and bigger ships, and can take on small snub swarms if the pilot has some skill. Although if the pilot does not have skill he'll die to 1 bomber or 2 fighters easily. A perfectly balanced ship. Oh dear :ylove: Anyway, turret steering is not the way to fly a boat vs snubs:)and it's not the way EDGE-guys fly them. Turret steering is all fine if you use a boat vs other boats or cruisers though. Turret steering is for caps mainly, and i have no complaints here. Perhaps reinventing your keyboard setup would help? By the way, the auto-aim bug has been fixed yet? <3 Turet steering 4.86 v3. - Aeqvinox - 02-10-2012 :P Yes, while i believe that indeed turret steering now provides many gunboat users with the ability to steer the boat and fire backwards at the same time, EDGE pilots did all that and more before turret steering was even implemented. Rear view key. It's magical. It's difficult. It's pro. |
