Are ships carrying a Freelancer ID still banned from Rheinland space? It was never clear at first whether the ban even applied to Freelancers (or whether it was just Mercenaries) and the Rheinland Military website only says that Mercenaries are banned (doesn't mention Freelancers).

Rheinland has little, if any tolerance for civilian militias, so it's fairly likely you won't see much more of that if they get involved.

Just a question about this ban,
If a mercenary is under the employment of a known Rhineland corporation, like, say, Kruger Minerals, does he still have to leave Rhineland Space before his job is completed, or can he first complete his job and THEN leave?
Take for example if I hire a Mercenary to escort me to Dortmund Station, New Berlin, in New London, and he is seen by an RM officer in Stuttgart, can he complete his job of escorting me through New Berlin, or does he have to leave Rhineland Space immediately?
I'm perfectly confident that the RM can handle any pirates within their space, but I'd still like a mercenary to complete their contract.
