Id like to pay someone 100mill to make a ship. - Hone - 02-10-2012 In my "too many faction ships" thread, people said if I wanted more of the ships to be open use, I'd have to pay people to make open use ships, so I will. I want this ship to be at least as "Heavy" as the Arrastra, and I want it to NOT be able to mount a SAC (if it's possible to mount a nova without being able to mount a SAC, do that, otherwise just give it a fighter torp/cd slot). Despite it's No-SACness, I want it to be able to beat an Arrastra (Ill be using the arrastra as a comparison, as its the other civ SHF) that doesnt have a SAC equipped, most of the time, (as the arrastra has mining equipment, and therefore a pure fighting SHF should be better than it) and AT LEAST be even with an Arrastra that has a SAC equipped. This will obviously require it to have much more guns/armour/regens/whatever, as the loss of a SAC is a severe penalty to a SHF's fighting ability, and attraction. Why am I doing this/why do I want this specifically? I wanted more open use ships, but we already have lots of ships, we need something different to induce people to switch from their sabres/eagles to try out a new ship, and make it worth comissioning. A SHF with no SAC, that can actually fight, is something new. I also dont like the SAC, and have always thought fighters were too agile, I'd like to see a properly powerful and slow fighter that doesnt rely on the shoehorned-in SAC. So to sum up; I'd like a heavy SHF that has no SAC, can beat a SACless Arrastra over 50% of the time, and a SAC equipped Arrastra at least 50% of the time. Ill pay 100 mill for the ship. If one person has to make it, and another one balance it so the devs will accept it, I'll pay them 50mill each, ect. I'll pay all the people who worked on the design I choose, an equal share of the 100 mill, once the devs have accepted it. Anyone interested? But yeah I did think of the Werewolf when writing this! Id like to pay someone 100mill to make a ship. - ryoken - 02-10-2012 WTH is a SAC? Plus a good idea for an open ship. To bad even if made will have to wait for 4.87 in 2099.:P Id like to pay someone 100mill to make a ship. - Charos - 02-10-2012 ' Wrote:WTH is a SAC? Plus a good idea for an open ship. To bad even if made will have to wait for 4.87 in 2099.:P Well that actually depends on how fast it actually gets made ready, we don't have the "final" 4.86 yet:P Also the idea sounds like a redesigned Spatial with a smaller profile and no SNAC.
