Hi I wonder what the general consensus is on RP'ing the same character on different ID's, for instance a Liberty Navy captain moonlighting under an alias as a Merc shooting lawful Rheinlanders etc?

Ask yourself does it make much sense for one man to be both Captain of the Navy warship and a mercenary. Not much of it, si?

EDIT: Actually. If you go for a mercenary job then you shouldn't be using that capital ship he's the Captain of while he's mercing around.

Gawd, 5 <strike>P</strike>AM here, gotta sleep. <_<

Well, I'm not so sure about using the same -ships- on a different ID.

But for example, I know a few people around have had 'Off duty' versions of their respective House Military characters.

For example, my character Rachel Baker is a Captain in the [LN].

I have another ship, of civilian make, that I fly under her name with a Freelancer ID as well.

Of course I don't fly around doing things the opposite way as I would if I were flying my [LN] ship. It's simply an off duty version of the same character.

I did something close to LolRawr.

Only it was Order undercover.

Was fun. Ask Robinson what happened before I changed the pilot of it. Twice. Before renaming it:sleep:

My character Rip Rorry occasionally goes from pirating in Rheinland, to killin' sairs in Gamma (using Merc ID) The same with another one of my fellas by the name of Thanatos. Flies both a Pirate ship in Rheinland and a Merc in Omicrons.

It depends on the situation I suppose.

I do it.

Yeah to the three above. /edit make that 4

Just don't do an Outcast, Corsair and a RoS at the same time, unless you are RPing a spy for one side or something.

It might be ok for an Outcast ID char for your daily work, with Freelancer ID for your smuggling for example. Different ships of course.

I do it too.

I'm thinking a faction/house "main character" and a freelancer ID flying in a civilian snub, interacting in ways he can't during his "day job" to further the overall objectives of the faction he belongs to.
