AI ID - KUBANA - 02-17-2012

Now tell me, is this ID - LAWFULL/UNLAWFULL/SEMILAWFULL?

Why shouldnt that ID carrier suddenly not engage BOunty hunters, when they were always in war, cause the AI is alien as nomads are ...

BHG want their technology as nomad one ...

What is wrong with you guys? make the AI possible to attack BHunters

AI ID - KUBANA - 02-17-2012

And when I am about to be quasi lawfull and attack pirates and unlawfulls why can I then with permission use CORSAIR ID?

THe AI id is full of paradoxes and HAS to be reworked

AI ID - Wraga - 02-17-2012

First, the AI ID isnt a nomad one, but you could realise it when docked on planet Gammu to buy one. The AIs (Harvesters) were close to the Zoners and by roleplay to the junkers once. The bounty hunters or corsairs arent their main target, since there are no main targets for the AI. They are just machines and serves somebody without own will.

Their ID shows this behaviour, and offer the chance for the players to roleplay a machine, what could defend itself.

The AI technology is a little bit overpowered, I mean the drone, btw if you try to pvp in it, you will realise that isnt so good like you thought before.

By the way, there are new rules, so you can use AI technology with any other ID, just focus on the nerf.

SO I can engage the BOunty hunters in Delta ... cant I ?

When I am roleplaying as a corsair friendly AI

AI ID - Wraga - 02-17-2012

There is an object what clears for you what you could, and couldnt do and that is your ID. If your ID let you to attack bounty hunters, than you can, if restricts you, than you cant. I dont have an AI ID but as I remember, you cant attack anybody with it, just in self defense.

AI ID - Lunaphase - 02-17-2012

There is no line that restricts that anymore. It just says "may hunt pirates and terrorists in a system without a jumpgate".

There is no restriction on who or what you an attack, however.

On the flip side a AI attacking one or the other can expect rather scarce supplies.

The AI id is basically for uncontrolled AI, which does not have loyalty to any group, a faction ai could simply use that faction id and ship and roleplay accordingly.

AI drones and cruisers however, are alien designs.

Uh, yeah, there is.

The ID says you can hunt pirates and terrorists, not bounty hunters.

Just because the ID doesn't say you can't blow up whoever you want, doesn't mean you can.

AI ID - Lunaphase - 02-17-2012

Outcast id does not say you can engage corsairs and lawfuls.

Corsair id does not say you can engage hessians and outcasts.

The list goes on.

Following server rules and your id's restrictions is the important bit, just because it doesent expressly say you CAN doesent mean you cant.

My AI shoots at GRN. Specifically allowed by id? no. Allowed? yes. GRN are rephacked hostile and shoot the AI on sight. Makes sense i can return the favor.

Oh cool, then I guess the AI cruiser and AI drone are back to being go-anywhere do-anything blow-anyone-up ships like they were before which caused the "can only attack in self defense" line to be added, right?

I don't think that's the intent.

AI ID - Vladimir - 02-17-2012

Well, i also don't really get it why they can't attack lawfuls.

BUUUUT the general rule regarding the id always was "if you don't have a line about can do something specific, you can't".
