Liberty Carrier MK II - Luis - 02-18-2012

Now, what I am about too show is an improvement of Yue-Fi's aka Xing's Liberty Carrier, not textured but more I plan to add more details on it. While Xing and I had conflicts before - I still respect him as a talented modeller.

So, I am currently cleaning / deleting / adding / scaling the model to get atleast to 13,000 poly-count as it was or is currently in-game as 18,000 poly-count (triangulated). At the moment, I have it set to 16,484 poly-count and I am still reducing it as much as possible or using the wasted poly by adding more details.

Full Model Credit goes to Xing...

Model is currently under construction since yesterday night and still is as I type:

If you've been paying attention to the forums, you'd realise that the ability to dock on player ships is currently being developed.

It's not from the Liner. If you take a closer look, you'll find that the main hull is a blend between the main body of the Osiris and the prow of a Liberty Dreadnought;)
(Well, with the engine block it's a bit hard to tell since they're nearly the same on both ships.)

Personally, I'm still a fan of the Lake Huron proposal; but that said, this is still a very nice ship. I wouldn't mind seeing more close-up pictures of the "docking pods" / more pictures of it in general. And textured, too, but one thing at a time.

I spoke to Dart so many times to get that model in and his response was the same - "no". Really loved that model, but he departed from the community. Since Yue-Fi's model is not that bad - gave me a chance to look over it and remodel it.

Ah, that's a shame. I'm looking forward to a sorely needed Carrier replacement.

Side by side with old carrier please. Like to see size, and what is different and such.
