Funny how topics repeat every year.
'Hacking' into the source code -IS- possible, but it would take an army of Cannons and Adoxas and even then, it would take very much time.
There's a group of programmers currently breaking down the Windowx XP code. They've been at it for a couple of years now, and these are professionals mind you.
So it is very unlikely that it will ever happen.
Let it go.

If you want something, you gotta' get your ass up and try getting it. Telling people with hope to drop their hope is the most stupid thing to do, honestly. If you don't want to get the code, don't do anything, but don't tell people who want it to drop their hope.

There have been over a dozen petitions. Half or more of them have been advertised here. Microsoft does not release its source code on any of its products. So lets stop this, shall we?
