Admin Notice: Player Sanctioned - Reverend Del - 03-02-2012
Vendetta|RR has been sanctioned for:
Quote:5.6 Fleeing from combat and then docking at a station or planet while you are in range of the ship you were fighting counts as PVP death.
5.8 A player who was killed in a PvP fight must not attack the enemy (player or players involved in the death) with any of the characters on his/her account(s) for 4 hours. Self-killing during a PvP fight is counted as a normal PvP death.
Consequences:
No guns, no money. Report it you said, report it he did. There's some paperwork in there somewhere.

Dear Admins,
i know when this happened and i am "<strike>sure</strike>" there was no rule conflict.
He engaged me with some friends. I killed one and the other 2 ran away.
After 10min (They weren't in my scanner range all the time and i actually i thought they have left the system).
I wanted to dock on the Junker base in New Berlin.
Suddenly they showed up again in my Scanner range (13 or 14km away) while i docked. They didnt enganged me or said anything.
So my question is: if someone leaves a battle and the attacking party sees him docking at a base does that count as a pvp death?
In my eyes it does not as the encounter was over since e.g 10 min, or is there a minimum of time that is needed to pass to "end" an encounter?
Bad i didnt get more evidence then that:
1 <-they are leaving
2 <-they left already
Anyways would be nice if you could do another look at that.

Your evidence is pretty much meaningless. The evidence submitted, shows you docking during what we would consider an encounter, you then undocked and started shooting. That's re-engaging. Looks that way to us.

Again, if this IS the incident I believe it is. The prosecutors RAN AWAY (eg: disengaged) from Vendette|RR and returned some minutes later just as he was docking.

Ok, listen up:
Ths 5.6 rule. If you fight me and you are running to the nearest base and dock but I am in the range of 10K and I get a message that you docked and you re-engage me after 30 minutes, you have violated the rule and you can be sanctioned.
The 5.8 rule. You fight me with your Jokerz| gunboat versus my RM gunboat and you get destroyed by me and you decide to switch to your |RR and re-engage me with one of your friends, you broke the rule. Again a sanction is coming your way.
The admins do not sanction by their own head, they sanction when they have enough proof. If they have the SS with the docking message, they have the upper hand. About rule 5.8 they can easily chek the IP.
Of course the admins can make mistakes and they usually apologize for that. Since there is no mistake the sanction stands with the solid proof.
I am not the one that made a sanction report but I am one of the persons that is upset by your actions and that was involved in such low act.

As for this particular situation we have yet to know if the actual circumstance is the one we think it is.
Still waiting on that PM from the admins to clarify the incident. I'd like to ask for everyone to stop making responses here until the actual facts are in mine and you_want_me's hands so that we're not talking about different encounters. Thanks.
