So, the Bison is in the middle now. The tech nerf guide says, unlawfull factions has no nerf on civilian ships, so the question is, the Bison, Uruz, Shire, Akegata are simple civilian ships and can be used as an unlawfull ID-ed person without nerf?

They are house civilian, so Bison is Civilian Liberty

Maybe the Bison is supposed to be Civilian Liberty, but it is being nerfed like it is Liberty Lawful (name is "Bison Class C5 Liberty Transport") -- I got a nerf down to 75% energy with a DSE ID when I bought a Bison on the Universal server yesterday (not a complaint against Universal, since I'm an admin there, so this is defintely an issue with the 4.86 tech nerf). The description for the Bison says that it was developed for the "Liberty Armed Forces" (i.e. a Liberty Navy ID should get no nerf), but that it is being used by corporations. I'm going to have to post this in the tech nerf thread.

I have no nerf with Ageira on Disco, neither do my DSE friends. Perhaps that's an action they've taken at their own discretion?

I suspect you've got it backward -- I think the problem has been fixed on the GC (i.e. Disco) server, but not in the mod (though I imagine that it has been corrected for the upcoming Update 4) -- meanwhile any server running Update 3 hasn't been corrected unless the admins do so themselves. I'm one of two admins on the Universal server -- I haven't changed any of the server files. The other admin owns the server, but he is fairly new to Freelancer/Discovery, though he is experienced at running servers for other games -- I doubt that he would've had a reason to change the Bison from Civilian Liberty to Liberty Lawful, so I suspect that the Bison is Liberty Lawful on all servers except the GC (i.e. Disco) server (and any other servers that have been changed manually).

I haven't had a nerf for... at least four/five weeks, since I bought the ship, so I doubt it is anything to do with U4.

Doesn't really matter. I personally don't think it should have a nerf with any of the 'Big Three' IDs or Navy, especially not Ageira.

This is a bug, which was likely corrected server-side on Discovery RP 24/7.


The Bison is Civilian Liberty and thus there should be no nerf for Liberty Corporations or Liberty Lawfuls. (So not just the Big Three - IC, SynthFoods, Cryer, OS&C, too.)
