Good day to you. I hope that your fight against the Gallic Navy is going well. You likely already know why I would be contacting you.
When the Gallic attack came, we were woefully unprepared. It was no real battle, it was a massacre. Our leaders, such as they are, were quick to accept the no aggression pact they offered. They felt that they had no choice. Perhaps, perhaps not. Still, we are re-building and preparing, not unlike yourselves. It is in both our best interests to co-operate. While I cannot attack the Navy directly, not yet, I must prepare for when the time comes.
So, I need information. Nothing classified or difficult to acquire, I'm sure. First, I need maps, charts of Gallic space. Nothing that you feel would compromise your security, you understand. Just standard maps of Gallia, showing the locations of planets, stations, jumpgates, lanes and the like. Jumphole locations would also be most beneficial. Second, I need information on the inhabited planets of Gallia. Things like basic histories and neural-net archives. In particular, anything relevant to terraforming attempts, climatic changes, industrial pollution and the loss or destruction of native wildlife species. Third, I need information about the Gallic Corporations, who they are, what they do and how ethically they operate.
In trade, I can gather information that you may or may not have yourselves. Detailed maps of Bretonia and the Tau borderworlds, including the locations of hidden jumpholes and secret routes. Perhaps information on the comings and goings on Gallic vessels through nearby space. Information on any Gallic sympathisers that I encounter. If, however, you prefer credits, I may be able to raise some funds, though I am not a rich man by any measure. Shipping you various supplies might be somewhat problematic, but not impossible.
