Can't connect to server - Yog-- - 04-04-2012
When I go to the server list one of two things happens:
1. The server list wont pop up and when I hit main menu the game freezes up. I have to go through the task manager to close it
2. The server list does pop up, but when I try to connect I get the "Taking longer than usual" message, and freelancer freezes up.
I can ping the server without any problems so I know it isn't a network problem. I've tried doing a clean install of the game and mod to no avail as well.
Any one know anything that could help?
Edit: This was happening before the latest update.

I've had some success by disabling windows defender and windows firewall through the services.msc window and uninstalling MS security essentials, but the problem still persists.
One thing I did notice is that if you exit freelancer, and then can't get the program to run again, hit ctrl+shift+esc and end the Freelancer.exe process. Sometimes it lags up and keeps running for more than 10 minutes after you exit freelancer.
