***Comm ID: Commander Sarah Dattaglia, 101st Ghosts of Razgriz, Commander's Office, Corsica*** ***Target ID: Outcast Quantum-Digital Frequency 165386 THz*** ***Re: Transfers*** ![]() TO: Potential 101st Pilots FROM: Sarah Dattaglia, Commanding Officer, 101st DATE: April 14, 816 A.S. SUBJECT: Potential Admission Hundreds of Years of Dedication, Skill, and Power embodied by a single unit far in the depths of the Omnicrons.
We are the famed Ghosts of Razgriz. The 101st Outcast Guard Squadron. We are the first line of defense of Outcast space, the vanguard of the Maltese fleet, and the spearhead of the Orange Dream. The 101st is not just a ruthlessly efficient fighting force, it is a brotherhood. A family of warriors, assasins, tacticians, strategists, and leaders. The 101st is now accepting transfer requests. Any applications to the 101st Outcast Guard are welcome, but our admittance process is, obviously, highly selective, and not every applicant is guaranteed admission. As a squadron, we mainly look for maturity, dedication, and the ability to act as a morally sound Maltese soldier at all times. Depending on the business of the members of the Board of Admissions, the time it takes for a decision may vary. We give every application the same amount of scrutiny and evaluation as the next. If you are interested in joining the 101st Outcast Guard, answer the questions below, and include a brief history of yourself, preferably 1-2 paragraphs, 3-4 sentences per paragraph. Feel free to be honest. We do not discriminate on the answers to these questions at all. They are simply used to evaluate how well you can communicate, your maturity, and your Character in general. OOC Wrote:Please answer these questions to the best of your ability. 5 sentences Maximum per response. Regards; Commander Sarah Dattaglia ***End Transmission***

--Comlink UIN - 85233489521 - Valentin Almagro-- Greetings Commander Bonello. I would like to apply for 101st Outcast Guard wing, I feel that I have been only receiving gifts of Malta and I wish to defend Malta with my body and heart to repay the favor. My life had no real meaning until now, I wish to become what I believe I was destined to become. I am including a brief biography I wrote about myself. I tried to be as much objective as possible. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Valentin Almagro
Julia Diaz gave birth to her child on very unusual place. When pregnant Julia and her husband Pedro Almagro were returning from succesful Cardamine run from Beaumont base, luckily slipped past all Military and Police patrols in California and jumped to Coronado, Valentin saw the light of world for the first time. He was born on a ship filled with Cardamine vapors - his bond with the Orange Treasure was strong since his early childhood. His father became very rich and succesful Cardamine supplier and he personally taught his son everything he needed for a career of Cardamine smuggler. When Valentin reached his eighteen years, his father gave him brand new Border Worlds Transport as a birthday present. But Valentin was not very satisfied with life of 'errand-boy' as he called delivering Cardamine. His amazing reflexes and foresight was one of the reasons why the local Police or Military never even managed to scan Valentin, nor even catch him. With money he earned from smuggling he secretly bought a Sabre and started training with his uncle, Outcast fighter ace. He didn't want his father to know that he is dreaming about becoming a Maltese warrior. His father was a smuggler in heart and mind. Soon after his first raids with false name and IFF he realized that being an ordinary raider is not satisfying for him. In his twenty-one years he decided to embark on a journey to become a 101st Outcast Guard wing member. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For the Orange Dream. Yours sincerely -Valentin Almagro

1) Why the 101st Outcast Guard? Everyone wants to try something new. I never had a chance to RP as an Outcast, and it would be great loss for my role-play experience if I wouldn't try it. Also I enjoy stationary RP (Read hanging in space somewhere and RP-ing with people, not raiding Corsairs or things like that. I always die while typing. :$) 2) What are two things that you enjoy doing in real-life besides playing freelancer? Playing on an electric guitar and reading fantasy books. 3) What would the last sentence of your autobiography be? ...and since then, only few things have changed. 4) If you could be a fictional character (from a film, book, comic, etc...), who would it be, and why? Harry Potter!... Just kidding. Most probably it would be Feanor from Silmarillion. (J.R.R. Tolkien) Determined, strong and intelligent. (What I would like to be.) Sometimes reckless, wanting to achieve something and sacrificing everything he holds dear to achieve it and sometimes paranoic. (That's almost like me.) -Dave The 101st Ghosts of Razgriz - Eppy - 04-23-2008 ***Incoming Transmission***
***Comm ID: Commander Mia Bonello, 101st Ghosts of Razgriz, Commander's Office, Corsica*** ***Target ID: Valentin Almagro*** ***Re: Accepted*** Your service record under the falsified identity is exemplary, and personal references are extremely positive. Welcome to the 101st, Pilot Almagro. Tell the hanger boys at Malta's spaceport who you are and they'll get your Saber shined up and decked out in the colors. ***End Transmission***
The 101st Ghosts of Razgriz - Ichtan - 04-28-2008 CommID: Napoleon Dattaglia TO: 101st Recruitment Office, Razgriz RE: Application and personal history Hello, My name is Napoleon Dattaglia, I believe you are familiar with my younger family members Joaquim and Maria. I've come to you out of the requests of them, as I have been informed that you are rather shorthanded in the Guard at this time. I have indeed served with the Outcast general military for several years, but I've recently gained the confidence in my skills to the point that I think I am capable of being a Guard. As for prior experience in space, that's about as far as it goes. I was never one of those prodigy children you always hear about on the feeds. It took me years to get to the point that I'm at and I'm proud of the fact that I have enough dedication to stick with things I decide on. As for family history, there is very little that you probably do not already know. My family was one of the original ones from the sleeper ships 800 years ago, and was the first to settle the small colony that I grew up in. I was always expected to carry on the tradition of space combat to defend all that the Outcasts believe in, but this was not always my dream. When I was young my dreams were to cure the Outcasts as a whole of Cardamine addiction, something I now realize is utterly futile and undesirable altogether. Since that dream was smashed to pieces by my father, I dedicated my life to his dreams instead, however much I never wanted that for myself... My life is dedicated to the spread of Outcast space and the dispersion of Cardamine, and you will have it shall you decide that I am acceptable to join the elite ranks of the 101st. Thank you for offering me this chance to fulfill my destiny, Napolean "El Leon" Dattaglia //More will come, maybe as a revision. And the Nickname will make sense soon. Sorry it's a bit on the short side. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1) Well, I've got an Indie Outcast already, as per my signature, but I wanted to be a part of something totally different. My interest was sparked by your invite, I assessed my time available and did some looking up of what the 101st is all about and decided that I like what I learned. 2) Cooking is my true passion, I love every part of it from growing the food myself to eating it. I also like to read and hang out with friends quite a lot. 3) The...Middle. 4) Hmm, this one took some thinking but I finally narrowed it down. I would like to be is Mr. Mayagi, because I want to be able to beat up people when I'm 75 too. The 101st Ghosts of Razgriz - Eppy - 04-28-2008 ***Incoming Transmission***
***Comm ID: Commander Mia Bonello, 101st Ghosts of Razgriz, Commander's Office, Corsica*** ***Target ID: Napolean Dattaglia*** ***Re: Accepted*** Glad to see you showed up, Leon, it'll be a wonderful pleasure to have you along. Tell Alfred in the bar who you are and he'll fix you a drink on my tab (try the Orange with Vodka). ***End Transmission***
The 101st Ghosts of Razgriz - ioha - 04-30-2008 **Incoming Transmission** **CommID: Arnao Francesco, Captain of the 13th Division** **Target ID: Commander Mia Bonello, 101st Ghosts of Razgriz, Corsica** Greetings, Commander Bonello. As the Captain of the 13th Division in the Outcast Fighter Wing, Id like to request the transfer of one of our pilots to your Division, namely Miss Flavia Mariposa. The subject has been trained by our instructors and proven itself to be a useful yet sometimes difficult addition to the forces. Miss Mariposa is by now able to act autonomous and should become a valuable pilot to the Outcast Guard Forces. I am including a brief biography about the subject, as it might be useful to be informed about her special case before completing the transfer. I am looking forward to your answer, Yours sincerely, Arnao Francesco, 13th Division Captain ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Flavia La Loca Mariposa Flavia Mariposa was born as the daughter of Rico Mariposa, employed in one of the local Dons security forces, and Maria Mariposa, nee Fernandez. Her mother died two years after Flavias birth. She went to school until the age of 17, no extraordinary events in the records. Until then, Miss Mariposa had been described by acquaintances as a gentle, nice, calm and timid girl. Pretty average. Her father was seemingly dissatisfied with her dreamy attitude and decided to change his daughter. He (by then retired from the security forces) started to train and teach her in order for her to later join the spatial forces. Approximately half a year later, her father had obviously developed a certain wrath against his daughter and was desperately searching for methods to make her increase her skills faster. He decided to try out an additional Cardamine dose, despite Miss Mariposa living on Malta (and the dose thus being unnecessary). He managed to inject his daughter a severe of overdose of Cardamine. She suffered multiple spasms and fell into coma shortly after the injection. The subject was then hospitalized and put under observation. After two months, she awoke from what doctors had originally classified as a deadly overdose. Her mind and character seem to be severely damaged since the overdose and, while her body seems fragile, it has become capable of deploying enormous strength. Her mental state is unstable most of the time - as a result, she may act friendly and clear in one moment and aggresive and chaotic in the next. Also, she tends to continuously mumble seeming nonsense. After her father (meanwhile gone into depression and regret) had met her, he committed suicide, supposedly not able to live with his new daughter. Miss Mariposa was then transferred to the 13th Division, under my command, where her skills were further forged and improved. By now, she has become a mostly reliable pilot, willing to defend the Orange Dream by all means since the overdose incident, she has developped a strong and special bond to Cardamine. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- **Transmission Ended** ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~OOC~ 1) Why the 101st Outcast Guard? I always felt like playing an Outcast character, the 101st was offering me the chance to do it now. I hope to deliver some interesting role-play with Flavia Mariposa. 2) What are two things that you enjoy doing in real-life besides playing freelancer? Only two things? Meeting my friends (Real Life, you know) and photography. 3) What would the last sentence of your autobiography be? You know, I forgot to load the camera 4) If you could be a fictional character (from a film, book, comic, etc...), who would it be, and why? Another difficult question. Fictional characters may possess extraordinary attributes, yet they often suffer from extraordinary trouble in their life. Honestly, there are many fictional characters I like, but I prefer being myself saves me a lot of trouble. The 101st Ghosts of Razgriz - Eppy - 05-01-2008 ***Incoming Transmission***
***Comm ID: Commander Mia Bonello, 101st Ghosts of Razgriz, Commander's Office, Corsica*** ***Target ID: Captain Arneo Francesco, 13th Division*** ***Re: Accepted*** Miss Mariposa, despite her slight disability, seems to have the skill necessary, and we are a tad short on pilots at the moment; I have never been one to consider mental disability too heavily anyways. Send her over ASAP, we'll have the techs standing by to do her up in the colors. ***End Transmission***
The 101st Ghosts of Razgriz - tfmachad - 05-03-2008 [INCOMING TRANSMISSION] Sender ID: 101st Recruitment Office, Razgriz Target ID: Commander Mia Bonello, 101st Ghosts of Razgriz, Commander's Office, Corsica Subject: New Applicant, Name: Giancarlo Mancini Attatchments: 1. Background check; 2. Personal presentation letter. Background check on Giancarlo Mancini Giancarlo was born to Laura Mancini. Laura was an exotic dancer in Freeport 10 at the time she conceived the child of an unknown father. She was kicked out of her job as her pregnancy became apparent. After a dramatic reunion, she was accepted back at her parents' home in Malta. She would spend the rest of her pregnancy there. She gave birth to a boy who was later baptized Giancarlo Mancini by her Parents. Laura spent the first days of convalescence with them, but as she regained her strength she left never to be heard of again, leaving her child behind. Giancarlo was raised in Malta by his grandparents, Patrizio and Albertina Mancini. The boy's upbringing wasn't a regular one. His teachers described him as "a slow one". Considering his story, medics attributed the child's problems at school to poor nutrition at the early stages of his childhood. At the age of eight, Giancarlo met Roberto Costa. A school teacher that would become his personal tutor. Roberto had lived in Kusari, where he served as a liason between our forces and the unaligned groups there. His work gained him the trust and respect of some of the most important people inside these groups. Blood Dragon most respected Sensei at the time, Senjio Nakamura, took him as Uchi Deshi (internal student) in recognition to his services to the Kusarians. Roberto was then exposed to elements of the Kusarian culture normally kept from outsiders. He was taught ancient arts of combat, matters of the body and the spirit, their cerimonials and philosophy. Dedication and duty time granted Roberto retirement back in Malta. The former agent became a school teacher. There he met Giancarlo who was neglected by the rest of the teachers due to learning problems. Roberto took the boy as his personal student and passed on to him, amongst other things, the knowledge he acquired in Kusari. ... Personal presentation letter ...and I'll finish this presentation letter with words which were presented me by someone who was a teacher and a friend: "There's a time for everything for everyone. Don't compare yourself to others. Strive to be today something better than what you were yesterday and your powers will be limitless." Giancarlo Mancini [TRANSMISSION ENDS] ----------------------------------- 1) Why the 101st Outcast Guard? When I first joined Discovery last year, hit the forums and went about looking around for the factions, the 101st was the very first that got my attention. I considered applying for it then, but then I learned it was invite only and let it go. After playing here for some time, being invited to join struck me as a nice thing. That original idea of joining never really left me and from time to time I'd think about talking to Morgan about it, but I'm the kind of guy that sees "invite only" and will hope for an invitation rather than ask for one. As to why... Eversince I started playing FL again here in Discovery, I developed a vicious, quite irrational dislike of the Corsairs. As my experiences fueled this disfavour of the Cretans, I grew fonder of the Maltese. 2) What are two things that you enjoy doing in real-life besides playing freelancer? Practicing and instructing Aikido, and reading. 3) What would the last sentence of your autobiography be? It was that original question; which served as basis for a mindset that accompanied him throughout his life, and that has oddly hindered him in even the most trite occasions; that ultimately granted him a holistic comprehension of himself and, in fact, of the meaning of life. 4) If you could be a fictional character (from a film, book, comic, etc...), who would it be, and why? Mitth'raw'nuruodo, more commonly known as Grand Admiral Thrawn. Thrawn is a fictional character from the Star Wars Galaxy which first appeared in Timothy Zahn's Thrawn trilogy. This character is something of an gem inside the Star Wars Expanded Universe. Grand Admiral Thrawn was a genius strategist, but that isn't enough to describe him. Thrawn was a true warrior and a pragmatic (as opposed to an idealist), even though his methods may have seemed too intricate for his subordinates to fully wrap their minds around. Thrawn had no problems withdrawing from a battle he could not win so he would avoid unnecessary waste of troops and hardware and adjust his plans. He wasn't driven by egoism and pride, and would accept valid ideas even if they weren't his own. I admire Thrawns sense of objectiveness and his unconcern for personal glory. Those, as I understand, were the key aspects of his successful command. The 101st Ghosts of Razgriz - Eppy - 05-03-2008 ***Incoming Transmission***

The 101st Ghosts of Razgriz - Denisius - 05-03-2008 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Denisius' early life on Malta were unremarkable. He was the only son of Joseph and Samanta Skol, a pair of Cardamine smugglers. He finished the 23'st Malta piloting academy with an average grade, and was then been given a 'Mammoth' ship from his father, to help him smuggle. And so he did. Under his father's watchful eyes, he grew in skill and knowledge, and was ready to be introduced into the Outcast order. The end. (I'm not much of an biography writer) 1) Why the 101st Outcast Guard? I've always wanted to play an Outcast character. And since I already have a friend who's an Outcast, I've decided that I should apply. 2) What are two things that you enjoy doing in real-life besides playing freelancer? Hanging out with friends, and infecting the unsuspecting population with genetically altering drugs. *grin* 3) What would the last sentence of your autobiography be? "And that's how life should be lived" 4) If you could be a fictional character (from a film, book, comic, etc...), who would it be, and why? Odesyus, from the Greek mythology. Imagine seeing the things he have seen. |
