Arausio Sanctuarium - SothaSil - 04-09-2012 Somewhere in the outcast space... far away from every civilization...
"Sacajawea to Arausio, requesting permission to land". "Copy that, you're cleared to dock at port B." The dock door opened and the little shuttle entered the remote outpost. A man walked out of the airlock, looking around. People moving around the place, entering stuff in their PDA's or carrying some mechanical parts. Everyone seemed busy, stuff was laying around it was obviously this here only is only a start. A start... some initial point of a new era. We evolved so far. This is our chance. The chance to finally change something. Arausio Sanctuarium - Death.RunningVerminator - 04-09-2012 Arausio Sanctuarium Bar The base's owner and project manager, Death Runner, rolled his wheelchair into his new and fine establishment. "Ah, perfect!" The bartender greeted the boss and his guards with a nod as the group sat down in a corner. One of the managers of the bar approached him with a drink and set it down on the table. He looked at Death Runner and explained the current happenings. "We're still fairly new, and so most of our customers are going to be from Genoa or any of our own employees from 81." The man in the wheel chair poured himself a glass of champagne and smiled in acknowledgement. "Right right, of course. Well regardless of our current customer influx I want this place clean, organized, and ready to be presented to any future investors that arrive for meetings. I plan on sending invitations shortly to our contacts. That includes the 'potentially' drunk rogues that will be here. Meaning I want every single strong drink you can find from the farthest reaches of space, in my bar!" He took a sip, then set down the glass. He looked up at the manager of the bar and awaited a response. "Ah, er. Yes sir!" The man quickly nodded with a smile and left. Arausio Sanctuarium - SothaSil - 04-09-2012 Sil, pretty surprised, entered the bar. The quite bright blue light made that place looking quite strange. "A work in progress... so so... but the bar is already done... alright... good", he thought and looked around. He didn't knew most of the people, must be workers from Genao or other close stations, or new employees. He sat down at the bar, waiting for the bartender. "Hey, bring me beer", Sil ordered a man who nodded and moved behind the bar, opening a bottle. Sil took a sip from his beer and looked around the place. He noticed a man in a wheel chair. He grabbed his beer and stood up. "Buenos dias, boss. I've returned. And I have interesting news." Arausio Sanctuarium - Pyromaniac - 04-09-2012 Eva walked into the bar dressed as she usually was complete with mohawk. She recieved a few curious glances which she ignored, before continuing about her job of ensuring that the security systems in the bar were properly functioning. It was the last area she needed to check and once satisfied that it was all up to par she approached the bar and got a beer nodding respectfully to Death Runner and Sil as she did so. Not wanting to interrupt their conversation she remained seated at the bar watching the patrons and once more reminding herself that she hated places like this. Arausio Sanctuarium - Death.RunningVerminator - 04-09-2012 "Ah, my friend Sotha Sil! What information do you have for me then, hm?" Death Runner looked up at him, curious. Arausio Sanctuarium - Jimothy - 04-10-2012 Wow this place is busy today, Enrico thought to himself as he disembarked. The Tepic was moored up with an unusually high number of other ships, and it was amazing there was space for them all. Everyone was busy rushing around, yet he collared the nearest man and yelled at him. "OY! You, yeah you, put that down and get the Tepic unloaded. There's hull panels for the new module, food for the mess, a bunch of robotics for god knows what, and some cardi for the bar. Got it, si? Good, now hop to it!" He glaced back as the deck worked scurried off to arrange the unloading and paused briefly to check his pockets before heading off to the bar. All the materials he'd helped ship in for it's construction were nothing short of top-notch, and he was eager to see the result. The bright blue bar was far to jolly for Enrico's liking, who was hoping for a quiet pub feel, but it had that new-building smell mixed with the sweet aroma of fresh cardamine. He rolled his eyes slightly at the view of the place and headed to a stool. Yelling at the bartender, he got himself a beer and sat down for a moment and began to scan the patrons, before a young woman walked across his line of sight. "Ah, senora!" As he spoke she turned to him, and he beckoned her over. "Hate to sound clichéd mah sweet, but what's a gorgeous senorita like you doing here?" She scoffed under her breath and wandered off without a second thought. Enrico shrugged and returned to scouring the bar for familiar faces. "Damn, the boss is here." He thought to himself, noticing Death Runner and Sil sat at their table. "Still annoyed about those arrests I bet. He'd best hope he doesn't notice me, I'm not in the mood today." His gaze fell on the unmistakable haircut of Eva Garza, who was casually watching the other bar-goers, and hadn't seemed to notice him. His face lit up in a with a mischievous grin and he strolled over to her, sliding onto the bar stool beside her. "Now there's a face I'd not expect to see my sweet, didn't think this was your sort of thing, you know, bright lights, people being jolly and all the rest?" He took a drink of his beer and casually adjusted his shirt. "So, what brings you all the way out here anyway, wait, don't tell me!" He appeared thoughtful for a moment before continuing. "Ah, you're making yourself useful and actually shipping junk for this place? No, that can't be it. Wait, you, oh no, I know, you heard I was coming, didn't you?" Enrico chuckled, mainly to himself and took another drink. Arausio Sanctuarium - Pyromaniac - 04-10-2012 "Actually I'm checking over the security systems to make sure someone somewhere didn't screw something up." Eva replied casually. "And you're right actually I don't like places like this. Too bright, too many people, and too much music that was put together by a programmer as opposed to real people with real instruments." She sighed and took a long chug on her beer patting the seat next to her inviting Enrico to sit. "And how about you Rico? I didn't peg you for the uppity club type, especially when when the boss is sitting so close by." She smiled and turned back towards Death Runner for a moment. "Your arrest is the least of his concerns now. You heard about Salazar right?" Arausio Sanctuarium - Jimothy - 04-10-2012 "Nah, not usually my scene, but, it's got cardi, booze and grub. That's three of four on the checklist, si?" Enrico ushered the barman over and barked for some snacks. "You want any swe...? *ahem* Sorry, I really do try dear." "But Salazar? I've not heard squat, been running non-stop getting this place up and running, what happened?" Arausio Sanctuarium - Pyromaniac - 04-10-2012 "He got arrested." Eva said gravely. "KNF picked him up. And I'm not talking arrested like you were that one time in Liberty, I'm talking legitimately arrested and rotting in prison. The lawyers are working on getting him out but what the hell good are they? Bunch of pencil pushers shooting their mouths off at other pencil pushers..." She took another drink of beer before pulling out a pack of cigarretes. She took one for herself and then offered the pack to Enrico. Arausio Sanctuarium - Jimothy - 04-10-2012 Taking a cigarette, Enrico offer Eva a light before lighting his own. He took a deep breath and pondered what she'd just said. "Wait, so, the boss ain't gonna care about me any more?" He exhaled sharply, and seemed not to care about his comrade's situation. "Shame for Sal' but hey, takes skill to get by in this business." Enrico took another drink and his face turned puzzled, then what was clearly an attempt at concern. "Seriously though, we gotta do something about Salazar, I know you, you've always got everything under control, you got a plan si? I don't want to wind up the only transport cap'in for the boss to pick on, he doesn't like me all that much." He took another drag before bringing his hand to his chin and scratching it ponderously. |
