The Rebirth of Smeagle - Death.RunningVerminator - 04-10-2012

Somewhere in the Omicrons..

Adrift..

Dead?
<div align="right]No...

Alive?
<div align="right]No...

Where was he?

What was this pain he felt?

His eye were closed..

Strength depleted..

His soul was gone, forever in the bowels of hell

Then, where was he?

::The comm unit blared as Solari broadcasted to several Bone Carver Drone ships in the area::

"Search the vicinity. Last reports indicate that his vessels beacon went offline within this sector. Find his vessel and acquire Smeagle or whatever remains."

::Several hisses were heard on the receiving end of the comm, followed by a "Yessssss siiiiire." ::

::Solari smirked as he eyed the navigation map of the sector.::

"You can't fight fate."

::He laughed. His tone was maniacal, cold, and calculating. A predator of space.::

Adrift..

A familiar light approached him..

Could he see?

Where was he?

His body ached as it ascended into the light..

Hissing rang in his ears..

Eyes open for the first time in what seemed forever..

Metallic walls of a ship..

<div align="right]The stench of rotting flesh..

::The comm unit screamed and hissed, "We have found his vessel siiiireee."::

"Good. Move the hive in. Send out two drones in Eagles to tow it in."

::There was a hiss followed by a confirmation, "Yes siiireee." ::

::A massive ship approached Smeagle's vessel. It was strange and of no particular origin. The ship seemed to have been at one point in time a very old freighter, perhaps dating several hundred years back. It had long lost any glamour it had. It was fitting with any salvageable part available, with heavy armored plates everywhere and spikes. Several cannons had been crudely fashioned to the ship. It was horrendous, and yet... very.. lethal.::

::The ship came to a stop and out flew two Eagle's from its dock heading toward Smeagle's ship. No doubt their former owners did not need them anymore. The two Eagles flew in close to Smeagle's ship, their hulls crudely painted with strips of red. It was a real shame that it wasn't paint. They fastened towing lines to the ship and prepared to dock back with the hive.::

Smeagle's vessel was pulled into Solari's clutches. The body of the murdering cannibal was mutilated. His skull was split, an arm and leg were missing, and his torso appeared as only bloody scratches and scars. He would need a lot of repairing to be done if anyone ever wanted this man alive again. And that's only the physical form. Mentally, he was still falling through hell, suffering the pain of everything he had done to all those he killed and tortured.

Death... death and despair was all he saw.

[font=Comic Sans Ms]The large corridors of the Hive ship were alive with the sounds of screams from various directions. The walls were moist, damp, and jagged. A slight cut could easily lead to tetnis. The hallways were dark, save for a few dimly lite lights at the ends of every corridor. They didn't need light, they had grown accustomed to, even adapted to, the darkness of deep space. The door to the docking bay opened, several fast creatures beamed out from within, hurling down the corridors in a very primal sense. Two of them were carrying the body of Smeagle. They turned and headed off down another corridor. One could easily get lost in the many series of corridors on the ship, and getting lost in Carver ship was something you didn't want to do. The two carrying Smeagle continued onward, passing cells with many alive, or partially alive, inhabitants. They entered a make-shift medical room with various equipment pieces all over and jars filled with questionable contents. Medical room? It could of easily been comparable to the birthplace of Frankenstein, or some medical room from a 21st century horror film. There was various areas on the walls smeared with blood. It seemed as though the Carvers used the room more as a "meat" processing center than a actual medical facility.

The two Carvers placed Smeagle onto the medical table. Solari smirked from the shadows and stepped forward turning on a overhead light. He leaned over Smeagle and whispered in the deformed corpses ear.

"I hope you are enjoying hell. Welcome to the seventh layer."

Solari turned and commanded the creatures to ready the medical equipment. He commanded one the Carvers to watch over the body. He leaned back down.

"You can consider him," he gestured at the hideous Bone Carver, "... your Minotaur."

Solari laughed his foul, cold laugh as he turned to walk out of the room. Several Carvers came in behind him, readying equipment.

The operation took many hours, and Smeagle was asleep for days afterwards. Eventually he felt the strength return to him, the life flow back into his body. He once again had the energy to use his senses, to feel consciousnesses once again instead of the Hell that controlled him only days before. Smeagle was on a makeshift hospital bed, blood and mysterious meats tainted the white cloth and sheets of the bed. He lifted his arm up slightly, observing himself. There were tubes and and odd objects connected to him. A metal piece of shrapnel was sticking out of his arm, obviously put there by one of the clumsier minions of Solari. He reached over slowly, grabbed hold of the metal piece and plucked it out of his skin.

"Gah.. Damn beasts. I'm surprised I'm not dead or something."

He had no more energy and went to sleep again since the patient was still in a critical state.
