Heya guys,i have a problem,so,now a week ago i reinstalled my windows,i used the same windows before,i formated my pc and now,i installed freelancer, downloaded the discoveryfl 4.86 patch and installed it. After that when i started fl he made an uptade, update 5 of 4.86 version, now when i enter in game and i wanna play i get a verry big lag and when i try to jump with my ship in Jump Gates my pc get's this error message on blue screen:

A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer...
Technical information:

*** STOP: 0x0000007F (0x00000008, 0x80042000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

blah blah...
And then i must restart my pc,when i enter again in game,i find my ship somewhere farr away from the jump gate in the system where i jumped to,can anyone help me to fix this problem? When i enter in fl my CPU works at 100% and the pc goes crazy,i have 1.5 Gb RAM and 1.6 Processor,256 Mb video card.

Wrong subforum, you might get some more help here.

This happens because you leave the game in the jump sequence, the game places you at a different place while jumping.

I cant really help you with the other problem, but maybe let some antivir check your PC just to be sure?

make sure you have all drivers up to date. FL BSOD was usually related to 3D Sound, so perhaps check if your sound card is up to date. Other than that, I've got nothing, sorry.

Check your Ram with memTest. Maybe Freelancer tries to save bits in a broken ram-section.

Edit: Check your CPU temperature

0x0000007F with the 0x00000008 parameter suggests a driver or lowlevel hardware problem. With driver, a virus scanner can also be the cause since some of those run in kernel mode.

And word has it Norton tends to kill FL.
