* Comm origin Lifford station, allegedly abandoned.

A red haired woman appears on the screen. The view appears to be lit by candlelight. Her blouse is emerald as are her eyes. Upon the blouse and upon the porcelain skin of her left cheek and her brow there is the unmistakeable bright redness of arterial blood spray. It is obvious that she is not herself injured. .*

To the S.E.F.,

A short time ago a couple of our pilots stopped a border world's transport class ship which bore a freelancer transponder and identification. This is typical for traders operating within Molly space and was not unusual. That is, until three of your capital class vessels appeared: 2 juggernauts and a carrier.

Now, it's surprising to see a fleet of Zoner capital ships far away from any Zoner base coming to defend a non-Zoner ship. Now, we've seen those Zoners in Omega 3 enforcing their neutrality with guns for over a year, but they don't often venture beyond their station's trade zone. Now, to business.

There were some words, one of our ships had its shields hit and pandemonium ensued in accordance with the reputation my Mollys have earned. Both of your Juggernauts and your Aquillon carrier were destroyed to the loss of a single Molly bomber. Previously a juggernaut with S.E.F. transponder refused a miniscule tax as a toll fee for bringing a capital ship through our space without so much as a please.

I expected to hear from S.E.F. regarding the incident, however we did not. I expected to hear from S.E.F. after the Omega 49 incident, we did not. Instead we were the recipient of a message from someone calling themselves Admiral Varcona with no stated affiliation to any organization. Now, I'll grant this gentleman appeared to have some knowledge of the incident, but after the chatter on the comms, anyone could know some of the details. He did not clam to speak for S.E.F, so I had one of our junior pilots reply.

Now, what amazes me over this, is that this Admiral person offered the sum of two million credits in order to resolve the issue. The issue, may I remind you, being three capital class battleships attempting to gun down Molly ships for having done their duty in taxing a trader.. The gall of offering a pittance over a major incident is laughable. I do hope that this Admiral Varcona does not actually represent your group because his diplomacy leaves much to be desired for the commander of a capital fleet.

So, were do we leave this? We have had no contact from the SEF after three incidents now. The latest being taxing of two transport ships, one of which attempted to activate a cloaking device but was destroyed before it could do so; and the other ran to Omega 49. At least that pilot came to his senses and paid his tax.

Here is how the situation sits. If you wish to contact us, do so to this channel and do it soon. You have 24 hours from this message to undertake serious negotiations. Should you propose a cash sum, it will need to be one in accordance with the past bad behavior. If you wish, I will provide a number for you, or the equivalent in various supplies.

What do the Mollys wish? Compensation for facing a total of four capital ships. Recognition of our laws within our territory. Common courtesy and a license/escort fee for travel of capital ships within our territory. Recognition that traders that are not properly tagged as being members of your group can and will be taxed according to the officer of the day on patrol.

The ball is now in your court as the saying goes. Queen to King's bishop 5 as others might say. Think carefully your response and actions. Choose unwisely and you will find your wives to be widows and your children to become orphans.

Make the right choice.

Hello there Govenor Aine moore

S.E.F Admiral Varcona speaking
i have been under a lot of pressure lately, so much pressure in fact it was almost lethal
i have to agree with you these have been some unfortunate events indeed and we are always looking for a peacefull solution to them

first lets sort this out
in regards to the captial ships comming to defend the transport, well i was supervising the freelancer trader who was working for us to get parts we zoners cant even get ahold of. infact they come to my aid as soon as my sheild fell offline after a pulse cannon volley my spatial is equpped it an automatic distress system.
do will all due respect, if my shields were never dropped by weapons fire we could of avoided this whole unfortuntate drama.

Anyway back to fixing this mess
Ill make sure none of our capital ships visit dublin without your permission in future
if its suplies you require im sure we can come to an agreement
oh and sorry for my last laughable offer of 2 millon credit, A man can only give what hes got aye?

// ooc info Erec Vakarian the other trader had router trouble which i sincerlly apologise for if it affected RP//

Moore, this is Captain Trogdor, head of the guard here in '49. Please forgive Mr. Varcona's limp response, he doesn't have a lot of experience in this sort of thing.

Now, I'm not looking to get into yet another conflict fresh off the heels of this fiasco with the Coalition, but you lot seem to have forgotten the terms of the understanding between our peoples. So let's have a little refresher, shall we?

First off, your request for compensation is denied. Do we tax your ships when they fly through our space? No. Do we charge you a fee for enjoying the sanctuary of Zoner establishments? No. Could we? Oh, yes. Staying neutral and keeping the peace isn't cheap, y'know. And in exchange for this gracious hospitality, all we ask is that you leave us, and our suppliers, alone.

But you haven't. You've been raiding us in Dublin, New London and elsewhere for some time now. Even when those suppliers are clearly broadcasting Zoner identification. Frankly, it's insulting.

And so no, the ball is not in our court, it is in yours. If you want to find yourselves unwelcome in our house and potentially make a very dangerous enemy, then by all means, continue on your present course. Otherwise I suggest you tighten the leash on your people.

**End of transmission**

//And by the way, it's poor form to treat ingame combat as canon. Particularly when there are external factors which influence the outcome, such as the framerate glitch.
