Re: IMG Docking Permits A very good day to you My Lord. It has been brought to my attention that BAF have been communicating with IMG and making arrangements for them to use the facilities at Kings Cross Station. May I respectfully remind the Admiral that the station is a civilian installation run by Her Majesty's Crown Services and as I am the security chief on KCS, it is my duty to inform you that I can not permit IMG to have Docking Permits. I do not know what the arrangements are that BAF have made with IMG, but you should surely be aware that BMM and IMG are not the best of friends, in fact I am constantly being harassed about Cardiff Station firing upon BMM ships when they pass through to Omega-3 (or Snowden as it is known to some in the Colonial Authority). Could you imagine the security problems allowing IMG free access to station? As I have already pointed out it is a civilian station, I don't want to waste resources on a detachment of Marines just to keep order, especially during this time of War with Gallia. That is also my other problem with IMG being allowed access, my sources (you may recall I was a Major in the Royal Marines) tell me that IMG are co-operating with Gallia and are continuing to operate mining installations in Tau-23, this makes me very distrustful of them. I have also been reliably informed that you are in negotiations with the Marquis? I believe they are a terrorist organisation, an extreme splinter group of the Council? Could you confirm this and what it is you have been talking to them about? Finally, could your staff please remember that in future even in the civil service there is a chain of command, please use the proper channels when communicating with station personnel, rather than somebody tapping me on the shoulder in the canteen whilst I'm having a meal. Yours, in service to the Realm - Miller F (Major RM - Retired). I guess, due to the ongoing restructuration of the Armed Forces command chain, some things might have got lost. And about the IMG docking rights, I need to admit that you are right. It might create confusion up to open hostilities. The reason why we made that arrangement is... well, let's say, not of your concern after all. And about the maquis. My dear miss, I am not in the position to fully explain you what his happening behind closed doors. Neither are you to ask about. Your concern about that matter has been noted, and all requests that had been placed towards King's Cross Station by the BAF are hereby null and void. We will find some way to continue our operations, but we have to see the whole from a much wider point of view. However, you can still expect us to continously give you and all other licensed corporations a helping hand in matters of defense and supplement. With all due respect, and in everlasting faith of her majesty Fleet Admiral Lord Hamilton Admiralty Headquarters, Battleship Harlow, Salisbury system |
