Incident at Freeport 10 - Karst - 05-10-2012 -opening text transmission-
Good day, mesdames et messieurs who may read this message. I do not wish to reveal unnecessary details about my background, suffice to say I am from Gallia and fly a transport. It is not relevant to the issue at hand here. Earlier this standard day, I was enjoying the sunlight at the edge of the ice field surrounding Freeport 10, in Tau-37. Now, some time ago I had a strange encounter with....someone who seemed very angry indeed. I don't know anything about his background, but his ship's callsign is Payback_for_gitts. I didn't actually see him up close, but we conversed via a private channel. He made some quite ridiculous threats, well, read for yourself if it interests you. I have stricken death messages and chatter from the log, except for the conversation between me and him. Quote:[09.05.2012 18:40:57] Payback_for_gitts: hi I didn't take him seriously at first; no, forget that. I don't take him seriously now, either. But as I was saying, I was enjoying the sun on my bridge about three clicks from Freeport 10, when who comes along but this angry, angry guy? As it turned out, he was flying a Bretonia-manufactured gunboat, under freelancer identification. He didn't say a word, just attacked immediately...but almost as immediately, it became obvious he wasn't a danger. He didn't manage to even drop my shield, and as I expected when his ship was starting to fall apart, he went and docked with the Freeport. Now, this is to the BAF specifically: Of course, due to political reasons I understand it is not the norm to enter communications with a citizen of Gallia. And for me, it is of course not the norm to contact you either. But then, this was not a normal situation. Normally, I honestly not care if someone outside the military gained access to your gunboats. But in this situation, we are both parties being harmed. This is why I am informing you of this, well, imbalanced individual that somehow possesses one of your gunships. To the Zoneurs specifically: I understand you are not fond of people bringing personal grudges to your Freeports. This is why I am contacting you, this individual not only opened fire near the port without warning, but then proceeded to dock when things were not going his way. In any case, I do not know what you two parties will do with this information, if anything. I will send this regardless, and would be pleased with a reply. Incident at Freeport 10 - Skullz - 05-10-2012 Incomming transmission Steve Vontaan Freeport 10 Message Begins Well, well. two NFZ violation reports in one day. And both reports arn't even valid. You'd think after over a year of having a NFZ that is only applicable for the defense of Zoners would be enough time. Obviously there is something odd in the air. O well. Simply put, please read the policies of each Freeport. These can be found here. The policies for Freport 10 have been this way for well over a year now as well. I also have no idea why you have included transcripts about this other person you mention. In the future, please inform yourself of what the NFZ are for the freeport are, before filing a NFZ violation report to that administration. From my end, this is no closed. All you have now to discuss is with the Bretonian Armed Forces, I believe. For now, good bye whomever you are, didn't catch your name. -To: Steve Vontaan- Now now monsieur, I must say I cannot understand your hostile attitude. I am not complaining to you, much less demanding any kind of actions be taken. All I was doing is informing you of this individual....and it seems you misunderstood, the transcripts were from a conversation with the same individual, about a day earlier. I don't expect anything from you. And I was not, as you said, filing a report of a no fire zone violation. But perhaps in the future, when the name of this ship pops up once more, you can use this as reference material. Have a good day, Etienne -transmission over-
Incident at Freeport 10 - Skullz - 05-10-2012 Incomming transmission Steve Vontaan Freeport 10 Message Begins I am sorry, I meant no hostilities. You just built your transmission in to what looked to me as a NFZ violation report, especially when you say that we are not fond of it. Quote:To the Zoneurs specifically: I understand you are not fond of people bringing personal grudges to your Freeports. This is why I am contacting you, this individual not only opened fire near the port without warning, but then proceeded to dock when things were not going his way. Moving on, I see no reason why I should keep a look out for this here Freelancer unless there is something I missed, which wasn't clear to me in the first place. So if you could please, clarify why as an Administrator I'd want to keep an eye on this freelancer when I see over a hundred freelancers at the freeport everyday? Steve Vontaan Incident at Freeport 10 - Karst - 05-10-2012 -opening text transmission-
-To: Steve Vontaan- I'm not in a position to tell you as station administrator what to do with this info. If you see no reason to keep an eye on this character, that is perfectly understandable. Like I said, I am not suggesting any action should be taken. However, if one day you hear a report involving this...."Payback_for_gitts", you will perhaps remember this. Really, it is a minor event, and what was remarkable about it mainly was the type of ship he used. But as you said, there is no reason to concern yourself with this matter any further. Perhaps we will hear from each other again, Etienne -transmission over-
