Royal Crown Office
Gallic Permits

The following permits will be issued to those who apply and are approved by the proper Gallic officials. Individuals may apply for them in this channel.

Gallic Entry Permit
Allows entry into the Kingdom of Gallia. All Gallic citizens born within the Kingdom automatically have permission to enter and exit the Kingdom. Citizens that do not have Gallic nationality will have to obtain the Gallic Entry Permit to be allowed to fly in Gallic space.
Cost: 100.000.000 Gallic Francs for corporation permits.
15.000.000 Gallic Francs for individual permits.

Gallic Restricted Exports Permit
Trade and export of restricted goods in section 2.2 of the Gallic Royal Charter.

Cost: 100.000.000 Gallic Francs for corporation permits.
15.000.000 Gallic Francs for individual permits.

Base Construction Permit
Allows the construction and maintenance of bases within the Kingdom of Gallia. 200.000.000 processing fee.

Base Regulations
1. All bases constructed in Gallia proper need to have Gallic owners. Sirian corporations cannot act as primary suppliers of these bases, and can only be hired on a contract-basis to import goods not found in Gallia.

2. All bases normally have to stay clear of any trade routes. This includes routes to lanes, gates, bases and planets. In exceptional cases, for example strategic military deployment by the Crown or extensions to existing bases, permits may be granted.

3. Weapon platform use is heavily restricted in House Space, Weapon platforms have normally to be at least 15 K away from any lane, base or planet. Weapon platforms may only be set to self-defence mode.

4. Any bases found inside of Gallic space without a permit may be given a set period of time of which the base owners may explain their case. The Crown may deny any pleas at this point, but may allow bases to stay with an increased tax on the base.

All requests are processed on a case-by-case basis. Each applicant will receive a personal contract to be signed BEFORE construction. This contract may contain exceptions or special regulations not mentioned in the above regulations. Breaking this contract will result in fines or the destruction of the base.

A Base Construction Permit can be requested by filling in the following form:

Jump Drive Permit
Allows use of a Jump Drive within Gallic space. If requested, the Crown may give out coordinates within Gallia. These are severely limited and depend upon use intended. It is not usual to have a blanket permit they are normally specified for certain routes.
Cost: 100.000.000 processing fee. (5.000.000, coordinate renewal fee if needed,)

Base Regulations
1. This permit will allow whoever is registered to use the jump drive to be able to jump in and out of Gallic space. Any ship wish this device installed may only fire in self defense which must be reported, and may not act in any way other than as a jump ship.

2. Ships jumping with the registered jumpship must be allowed within Gallia. Any ship found freeloading or being snuck into Gallia will be destroyed, along with the jumpship.

3. No ships larger than Gunboat or transport class ships may be jumped with the jump ship, and may only act as defense under Gallic law.

Tournus Exchange : Construction Permit Application

Name: Tournus Exchange
Affiliation: Solar Engineering
Current Location: Burgundy, Sector C6. At the junction between the trade lanes.
Mission Statement and Background:

Solar Engineering's timely departure from the Gallic Border Worlds in 686 AGS demonstrated the
shrewd nature of its managers. Those who stayed in these less affluent systems saw their profit
margins tank in the coming decades as the Second Gallic War took its deadly toll. Now, forty eight
years later as the dust settles, Solar Engineering has once again turned its attention to the
Gallic Border Worlds.

Before Construction Permit Law was instantiated in Gallia, an enterprising merchant by the name
of Remy LeBlanc worked tirelessly to construct the Tournus Exchange. He succeeded. By the year
734 AGS he had created a thriving establishment. However, at the same time his age was beginning
to wear on him and he decided that he was no longer up to the task of maintaining the station.
Seeking a new administrator to care for the base, he put the station up for sale in what is
thought to be the first public station sale in Sirian history (citation needed). Solar Engineering
representative Martin Vernier approached Monsieur LeBlanc, offering to purchase the station. While
his desire to maintain the venerable old station was probably genuine, for his Solar Engineering backers
this was a calculated move.

Solar Engineering has always been mindful of its corporate neighbors. Rather than compete with
its Gallic fellows, it seeks to provide services which are unavailable elsewhere. In recent years,
the Solar executives had come to realize that the advent of Jump Drives, Cloaking devices and other
such cutting edge technologies elsewhere in Sirius represented a threat to Gallic supremacy. So while
not strictly within the purvue of its normal operations, the executives at Solar Engineering saw
opportunity in the wizened old merchant's Burgundian outpost.

Positioned in Sector C6 adjacent to a natural stop in the trade lane sequence, the Tournus Exchange
could not have been more ideally situated. Within only three lanes from the station was Planet Nevers,
so supply would be no object. In addition, the station's proximity with Ile-de-France would furnish
some protection from the pirate elements in the system. The Council, they reasoned, would not dare
venture so far in to Burgundy. With abundant supplies and a relatively safe location, where better to
position a research and prototyping outpost? It was not so close to the Gallian interior as to attract
undue civilian attention, but not so far away as to put the station in harm's way.

Even now, construction is under way. At the time of this writing, the station possesses a shield,
storage and core upgrade module with a carrier bay factory under way. Solar Engineering hopes to
monetize the station by producing valuable prototypes of unusual devices already employed elsewhere
in Sirius, and to furnish the Gallic Royal Navy with said devices in order to aid them in their
conquest of the sector.

Planned Modules:
EXISTING:
- Shield
- Storage
- Core 2
IN PROGRESS:
- Carrier Bay Factory
PLANNED:
- Core 4
- Cloaking Device Factory
- Jump Drive Factory
- Hyperspace Scanner Factory
- Three additional Storage Modules

Please note that Solar Engineering sees no reason to build any weapons platforms near the Tournus Exchange,
as it has every confidence in the Gallic Royal Navy's ability to thwart military attempts on the station if necessary.
Furthermore, it would be a breach of building code to position such weapons so close to the lanes.

Name: UCS Meren
Affiliation: L'Unione Corse
Planned Location: Planet Egilsay, Orkney
Extensive motivation and reason for construction: A safe base for the L'Unione Corse pilots to stay. This way we do not have to rely on GRN bases outside of Gallic House Space. Doing that strains both of our groups. Also, we will not be using this base for extensive militaristic purposes, merely a place to refill our regens and get some R&R. Note, this base has been built, but we have been allowed to acquire a permit.
Planned modules: Shield, cargo

"Goeiendag,

I would like to apply for a restricted exports permit. If you could kindly give me the details to apply, I'll happily offer those said details. My business is to trade anything worth my while, and refraining of course from the hauling of forbidden commodities. Also, my business would be just to explore the Kingdom of Gallia and enjoy the finer things in live your people have to offer, having tasted from samples of your cheeses, wines and *chuckles* women.., my interest got peeked."

Douwe Ruys."

Meren and L'Unione Corse,

As you already have previous relations with the crown, and are kind enough to do this paperwork your request is accepted. Remember though, we are to be allowed on this base for any reason, and it is not to be used to harm any officer or citizen of the crown.

I heard you might have problems with the base, but if it is still functional, send the fee and you will officially be added.

Prince Joseph DeFrance

---------------------------------------------------------

Douwe Ruys,

I'll need your affiliation, ship type, and ship name before I can give you a permit. If everything checks out, you'll be good to go.

Prince Joseph DeFrance

---------------------------------------------------------

[M]ollys,

Done and done. The permit is granted without any need for more paperwork for us both.
