Alright, so as we all know, the Sarissa is really a redundant ship now, what with the introduction of the Ranseur. It is larger, less armored, has fewer guns, and is overall a worse ship. However, new life can be breathed into this vessel, by making it a Carrier! It even has all the model-related qualifications of a carrier, meaning that with some simple hardpointing and INI editing, which I would be happy to do, it could be done by the next update.

My proposal is this: With the next update, increase the number of Docking Module slots on the ship to 3 or 4, as well as the cargo, to around 1.8 or 1.9k. This will allow the ship to function as a direct competitor to the Legate by allowing it to carry its own support craft, evening the playing field.

My suggestion would still be to resize it and the Kronos to a good medium BS size...

I think it should be resized and totally rebalanced, making it a light battleship. It would make a lot more sense since our main enemy has access to both heavy and light battleship classes, so I don't see why we couldn't have the same.

Just about anything would be an improvement to the Sarissa right now. Adding Carrier Bays and hardpoints would, in my mind, be simpler. Because if you resize it, you have to move the hardpoints too.

problem with sarissa is simply this; if you cant utilize its agility to its maximum potential its size and armor just doesnt make the ship work...

That ship is 110% skill oriented... it has 80% fail rate in PVP against Legate/Jorm/Osiris/LN Dread/Dunkirk UNLESS you can fly it as efficiently as most people can fly a VHF, i learnt that over the course of the 20 months i had my sarissa...

Its a splendid ship, but it demands so much more of the pilot then one can expect.... I havent tried it after the turret split, but if you want to make it into a carrier i suggest something along the lines of Elbe... reduce size by 20% or so, buff the agility only slightly, and give it 2-3 more guns to cover the fat unprotected belly and ofcourse what jaec said too....... then its fine with its 830k hull

Outcasts already have a heavy battleship - a dreadnought, the Ranseur. Even if this was made a carrier, it'd still be a "heavy battleship", going by size. What the Outcasts need is a light or medium battleship for fighting in the asteroid fields, especially now, that the Ranseur really sucks at doing that - as far as I heard. Judging by looks and the new "accurate" hitboxes, I can see why.

The same size issue goes for the Kronos. The CR's main enemy are the Outcasts and the GRN. Their main battlefields are asteroid fields and they can't just use brute force, as they have way less ressources and people than all their enemies - the same btw also goes for the Outcasts, no matter what you say, they have a big lack in both as well, compared to anyone else. Especially in the "people" part. For both it would make more sense to have a battleship which relies more on agility and "speed" than on pure size, armor and firepower.

For both I'd see the medium BS as most fitting...a bs with medium firepower, armor AND SIZE.
