Why not? The looks of the Albatross is good and the stork is getting on my nerves lately.
What is the point of the current Albatross? 2000 cargo hold, 80.000 hull points, 5 turrets??
A bigger brother of this one should be added... mabye 2(one 5k and one 3.5-4.5k)

The trains are the Gull's and Alba's big brothers. And believe me, a longer version of the Albatross would look terrible.

than lets have it this way. the current albatross has 2000 cargo with 4 pods. the heron has 3000 cargo with 4 pods. where does the heron keep the other 1000 tons?

By your logic, the Heron is actually missing 1,000 units of cargo.
