The bombers were upgraded and now cruisers and bs shooting small transport ships! What is happening? You guys don't like to see traders?! Now i'm imagening all those lolrats buying cruisers and bs! A credit to who had that idea!!

Little trader still can run or pay a fee. Also, capital ships are expencive a bit. And BSes don't have a CD. So, it's not a big problem.

"Widow-Maker" i don't care if you like to suck it and put it on your backside, but just because you like it that does not mean that i or anyone here also like it or may like... so keep it to you and your boyfriend. By the way you didn't let me go ... i escaped and i even faced you .. a Praefect vs a BWT and you lost! The Praefect .. and you can find that on the forums becauase i said several times .. is one of the best ships i ever had and i even wished that the Fearless was as good as it ... but you fail and that means you lost ... shame on you!
Now about this ... i still remember some post about it ... still on 4.85 ... some people talking about it and some against and some in favor ... funny one that was against it shooted traders and even my trader with a Kusari destroyer but had the Wild ID so he could do that but was against! I defended that it could but in certain situations like for example Kusari ... it was on 4.85 ... capital ships shoot Bretonian traders on Leeds and Taus, and also gave the realk example of what happened on WW2 with ships like the Graf Spee, but no and no this is a game and not real ... ok then! I also remember a player complain that traders with contraband, teased him and even ram into his ship making damage, and he said that one Admin said to him that if he could prove it that the damage has made by that trader he could shoot him, but also another Admins also said to .. not in he forum, that he could only do it on the exceptions of the rule. And now there is no rule! In my opinion this is not another nail on the Disco coffin, but it is a hand full of nails.
I arrived with the 4.85 and the transport was already a low hope ship to be defended, but even so i managed some kills, but asmost all was because the pirate made mistakes and killed himself. But when 4.86 camed it even got worst. The bomber, the most used type of pirate ship, got new weapons and become more deadly and even one of the most dangerous opponent, the gunboat, got nerf! The missile gunboat now only damage the shields and one can't take a shield down ... the remember the Zoner turrets that everyone wanted? Even the Liberty Navy wanted and i think that the OSI even sold some to then, remember? Now nobody want then because there is almost no diference to the basic one. But many ships were changed in he name of a balance. A balance game is a fair game ... and to some traders even got some big ships with a lot of guns, but everyone knows that a good bomber can easy take down any transport and even a cruiser, but ... what are the chances of one transport against a cruiser? Well if you find the Massimo .. widow-maker ship ... probaly a lot, but any good chances wih a regular crusier player? None! So where is the balance where?! For some looks fun ... but for me is like those big bullies that only like to mess with the litle guys, and that i don't think is fun!
Agmen the RP of about 90% of pirates on Disco is " give me X millions or die" ... great RP!!
Klatz capital ships are expensive, but i already saw gunboats pirates with a cau8 and with less money you could get a cruiser with a cau6 and that is very good setup!
I must say i don't understand why this rule was removed ... wanted to update? Ok make more exceptions like "House capital ships can attack traders with contraband that refuse to stop" or " Capital ships can engage traders that are trying to pass a siege on a base" thinks like that. All rules are written in simple english that even i understand then, but if anyone dont understand then, please ask to someone to translate to their native language. Easy.

Barghest is still the best pirate ship IMO, but really just hire and escort. I usually go with a bomber because most pirates these days tend to go for a cruiser or KusEx. Even with another bomber they can at least keep them busy.
