Heyyy! - Junker Congress - 05-09-2008

Nice to meet you all, the name's Diivide (till the credits for the name change come my way... heh).

Been having fun RPing it up, and getting accidentally vaporized by various people when I watch the action and accidentally get too close while scanning weapon loadouts.

Currently piloting an x-shuttle for cargo hauling, took one look at the weapons loadout, description and specs and somehow thought it would be the low-end ideal barricade runner. Turns out, it's a Humpback with a torpedo launcher! All the turrets are on its rear-end!

Seeking an alignment at the moment. Still not sure where my loyalties lie, heh.

Haha, I fell into the "X-Shuttle Trap" when I first came here. Welcome:)

Heyyy! - cmfalconer - 05-09-2008

Kind of a rite-of-passage isn't it? I bought the X-Shuttle back in 4.83 and was disappointed with it then. That thing begs for more agility.

Welcome to Disco. Buy a Camara if you like decent-sized freighters. She's a good little vessel to start plying your trade.

Welcome to Discovery!! Have fun and OBEY the rules. As far as the X-Shuttle... been there, done that, got the t-shirt, and a few credits to spare. Upgraded accordingly as soon as money permitted.
See you in space!!

Greetings Diivide, welcome to Discovery RP. I believe we crossed paths last night. I was piloting Synth.Foods-Convoy|104.

Since you are just getting started it might be better to start a new character rather than spending two million on a name change. Just a thought.

I too flew the X-Shuttle for some time, and then stepped up to the Camara youll be happier with that if you choose that route.
If youd like to go the fighter route; when you see me online send me a PM and well get you set up in a fighter in exchange for some escort services.

See you in space.

Read this post for some good advice on starting here on Disco: Xoria's thread for Disco Rookies

P.S. Join Synth Foods and feed the universe with us.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN!!!!..."The X-shuttle Trap?"

It just don't turn fast but it is perfect for the start up blockade runner. You can get it cheap!!!:P Get the top of the line booster. You just put the the biggest energy throwing guns and maybe a couple of missles plus the torpedo :yahoo:you can mount on it. You take a high profit cargo and head to your destination. You find that lone pirate or other unlawful (to you) sitting on the JH you want to use. (If he or she is between you and the JH the better.) Line up on the JH and stay out of cruise. Start pumping torps at max range and open up with everything else when they come into range. Keep full boost on the whole time. When the pirate either moves out of the way, go for dock with JH or JG. While your nav computer is trading numbers to get you through, go to aft view and start blasting. When you get to the other side, engage cruise and get out of there. I have seen gunboat pilots fly nervous for a while after such an attack. (Duh, I am in a gunboat. Why are my shields dropping?......Thats a class 6 ship.)

PS. After such an encounter. I would suggest a differant route. Said opponent may have called some friends in or the same trick may not work twice. I made my first 2 mil this way.

PPS. With this ship, it is the side shots that get you.:laugh::laugh:

Edit: // Craft and all weapons were bought in Kusari.
and.... Welcome to Discovery.......See you in the Trade Lanes
